The giant beavers are easy to tame. They can be trapped by a bola. Give berries to tame. For faster taming you need 1 soothing balm.

If your new to the game try not to steal their dams cus they will attack until you escape or die and they are pretty strong so yea be careful

Be careful when dealing with dams when these are nearby,all Casteroides nearby will aggro on you when you access dam inventory

They can be used to make a pelt farm that slowly increases on efficiency here’s how step 1 tame a male and female beaver have them mate and claim the baby if it’s male kill it and harvest the pelt if it’s female let it grow up and mate it and rinse and repeat

If you have a sarco beware this creature can kill your sarco by itself (only 1 castoroides can kill it)

If you want to get stuff from the beaver dam in a easy way, then you should wait until a beaver is on land then bola it, club or tranq it, put berrys in its inventory, and now your have a giant beaver as your pet. Now bring your beaver to a safe location and make it not follow you, and then go back to the place with beavers and do it all over again. Keep repeating until no beavers are left in the water and then the beaver dams are all yours! (I’m around level 50 and i did it)

Just tamed the lvl 70 one at mobile single player, hard difficulty. With Rockaroots. Took me around 700 narcoberries, 180 narcotics, and 400 bio toxins. This guy's torpor bar drains SUPER fast.

Narcotic info on these guys here is wildly off. Bring a lot more than listed. For a Level 20 it took around 70.

This thang shreds armor like a warm knife to butter. Be warned.

If you just wanna get in the dam, do a quick open and run to see how many there are in the area. Kite then away from the dam and quickly take the inventory. They will chase you down quite a bit and kill you just as quick too, but they hold a LOT of cementing paste and even more wood.

Unless you build by beaver dam then it’s pretty much useless

Ppl say it’s so dangerous but I kill it ez at lvl 10 with a bow and arrow just get on a rock and fire away.

As a begginer i found myself constantly low on nacro berries and wood... then i tamed this guy and boom no more problems! Thatch and fiber is my therizno (thunder chicken)

Tame beelzebufo. Its tongue can push a little bit and quite a damage.level up damage frog until 700% and you can raid their dams easily.my avengeance is completed and satisfied. Rip my saberthooth:Chonker.if you wanna tame them..the torpor is really annoying..i prefer kibble and lots of bio-toxin.:D

Just bred a baby and threw it outside to raise and when I went to put food in inventory a bunch of berries appeared. Way more than I could put in the baby too. Not sure if it was a glitch or not. I’m on official servers.

Used to pick one up with my argent and drop it in a stone doorframe cage. 2 high, 2x6 in size. Tranq and tame. Uses 2x the amount of narqs the app claims. Same system works with many dino types. No flyers lol. Lately argent won't pick up wild dinos. Don't know why.

Here's a good Tip bring a sleeping bag incase you die pick all there stuff and then go to home screen(for Short quit to main menu)and play it again and there they'll not ganna attack you!thx me later....like these plsss
