What are tips for castoroides? Tips and strategies for castoroides in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Just go to the dam leave your stuff at your base take all let it kill you and then loot your dropped inventory and then they won't aggro you
Some people the theri is better for WOOD but the beaver is better for wood and gets a weight reduction for it also on mobile they can get quite a bit of rock carrots from jungle bushes
I was trying to find one I went to the redwood forest to my tree base I left I forgot the beavers were there my game crashed I also had some gally kibble on me
since nobody knows how to build a very good taming pen for creatures like these or theri heres mine:
just take a 3x3 stone foundation (total 9) and get 36 doorways
and place them to make a cube on the foundations
and finish up placing stone floor doing a circle on the doorways
and boom you have got an awesome taming pen where even therizinos cant escape
How to VERY easily tame Beavers (or any medium dinos with high torpor) on single player :
Step 1: Build a 4x4 trap with 2 high walls built with door frames (add ramps on one side if you don’t have an argy)
Step 2: Carry one with an argy or lure it into the trap with aggro if you don’t have an argy
Step 3: Leave it there but don’t go out too far so it won’t despawn, wait for night, put sleeping bag down and sleep for 4 hours. This step is to drain it’s food.
Step 4: Knock it out with tranqs and feed it berries or carrots (you can get plenty with a trike or stego, if not then parasaur is also good)
Step 5: Enjoy having a beaver then cry that you need to be level 61 to make a saddle for it…
Pros: Insanely fast starve tame method, doesn’t use any narcs of any kind for a level 145, doesn’t reduce much taming efficiency like the old starve tame method where you have to knock it out THEN let it starve, almost always gets 80-90% taming effectiveness.
Cons: Have to be in the area for a long while so it won’t despawn and wait for night time, it eats a lot and if you don’t check on it, it will eat everything you put in if you wanted to save stuff like crops or prime meats, you have to trap it for it to starve so will cost a lot of building mats to start.

Take a flying dino.
whistle it to follow, take the dam then ride the flying bird and fly away.
A quetzal is recommended if u take the wood too
My first tip lol
Guys grab it with an argy and trap it in a box and sleep for 7 irl hours if you have the clock and in single player and when you wake up just knock him out he will have 0-500 hunger
If there is a dam with one of these bad boys near your territory, don’t approach! Wait a few days and the beaver will die and the dam is all yours
You need to pump melee and weight.
I see one of these dudes after being killed after a therizino and I got it made a huge mistake the thing mauled me alive
Bring too much more narcotics than the app says… a lot of them
If you want to take on one of them take a bow and take a sword p.s don’t forget to bring arrows
If you are planning on making Behemoth Stone Dino Gates, GET ONE OF THESE. Their saddle turns them into a portable smithy so you can craft the gates. Their weight reduction of stone and wood will allow you to hold the the 900 of each that you'll need. Tame one of these suckers and put all skill points into weight. Your other option is an argy but they don't reduce wood.
If you just stand on top of a rock even a small one, these cant get you cause they are very bad at climbing. From there u can just tranq them. I got a level 150 that way
Here is how to tame a beaver
1. Bola it
2. Club it
3. Feed it
There you go now you have a beaver
Use a long range weapon like an RPG or sniper, your pike isn’t as good as it seams against an army!
On fjordur the beavers are near the bottom of the south west island at like 30
