Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a carcharodontosaurus.
I just figured out tropical wyvern eggs give you a 75% respect bar for these big guys, And taking them into caves with massive Dino spawns is very effective! GLHF!
Trex baby is best for taming
Also the carch is just a better giga
From what i’ve seen so far is you have a baby diplo it’s an instant trust aswell as a baby rex
Baby brontos also fill up the bar on ASA
I fed it once, and it stopped eating. I tried again, same thing happened. Now im trying to feed it baby rexes bit it wont eat anymore.
Baby rex’s are 100% guaranteed to fill up the friendship bar.
Taming them is entirely based off the drag weight of the things it eats. Use a baby rex or spino (baby gigas dont work because you cant drag the body around) and it only takes one to completely fill the bar and then you can hop on to start eating things and this applies to every taming multiplier and also work on 1x for any level on official servers. Larger dinos or dinos with a higher drag weight will give a larger percentage towards tame but keep in mind certain things you eat count as more than 1 thing eaten towards the counter on the lower left. Once you hit 100 it will kick you off its back so try and pick a place that's easy to feed it another thing when it does this. If you do not fill the counter or you hop off it you lose 15%-20% effectiveness on the tame and the levels tank. You can also use an elixir but you have to be standing as close to its foot as you can get and you cant use it in your hot bar while riding it you have to be standing on the ground. Obviously, every time it gets hit it loses .01% and this also applies to when you are not riding it so if it boots you somewhere it's going to fight things the effectiveness will continue to drop.
This is literally one of the easiest things to tame, the animation for it eating a body is long enough to not need a trap as you can just shotgun another thing and take its body to get it into a new animation
after a few feeds you can ride it and start meatrunning all the wild dinos and after the 100th kill it will roar and knock you off making you kill a few dinos and feed it again
you can roar while riding it but the kill counter doesn't reset when wild and of you don't play on a boosted server or kill large dinos such as broncos only you will get kicked off
stat mechanics seem really similar to gigas including hp amount and the fact the melee goes up by 5 per point which would be 10 per mutation
The stam is better than gigas but still Regensburg slow however the amount gained per level is larger than a giga making it possibly worth 1 or 2 points in Stam on boosted servers but on low boosted its still probably better to do all melee (depends on what you want and how it scales with mutations and stuff I've only messed around with it for about 20 minutes)
Trap the dino the same as you would a giga. Kill and drag it sheep. As soon as it sniffs at you, drop the sheep and run away. Repeat till his trust bar filles up (blue icon above head). Then hop on and ride around killing things till he is your friend.
Drag dead baby rexes to it,then go to a swamp/river and kill all the fish fir easy taming, dont attack large creatures, jst multiple small ones
When you want to take it you will probably want to trap it and if it is still trying to eat your builds fly up with a flyer and I’m render it then go back down and feed it the dead animal witch you should do a baby Rex to fill the trust meter to full and go kill everything you see and have fun 😁👍
The carcar has a very long taming prices of just bringing it random Dinos you can find around you, but I've found that bringing them Dinos imbeetween level 150 - 250 is very very effective due to the high level, instead of scrambling around finding any level Dino you can fing just so the carcar your taming doesn't wonder off or lose tame effectiveness, make sure to prepare yourself by only looking for carcars where you know you have seen some high level Dinos that would be good to sacrifice to a carcar. This is an extremely annoying ung Dino to tame, only if you let it be, this is a perfect Dino that most people will want as soon as they can get it, and I don't blame them, but always make sure your prepared before you attempt to tame a carcar, I have personally found this method to be very useful scoping out your area can be detrimental to your experience taming carcars.
DIPLODOCUS are the best for finishing stage 2 of taming, because the effectiveness is based of LEVELED HEALTH ~ Obito Uchiha

It’s easy to tame. Trap it and feed it a baby diplo, baby rex, anything with a high drag weight (preferably over 450) that you can carry. You do the feeding process by dragging it close to where it won’t eat it but it will sniff it. When it does the sniffing animation you will leave the carcass close enough to where it can eat it. It will show a friendship meter above and when it’s green you can ride it. When you ride it, you go on a killing spree until it’s tamed. Look up a tutorial on yt if this wasn’t specific enough or if you are a visual learner

If you know what you're doing this tame is super easy.
First off, no matter the level all creatures bodies you drag to it will always fill the same amount of trust based off their drag weight(Lvl 100 Carchar will get the same trust as a Lvl 300 when fed the same dino). As many people have said a baby Spino, Rex, or Yuty will instantly fill this trust gauge.
Now the riding part is the trickier one. Many sources will say that you get thrown off at 20% tame but this is not true!!! You get thrown off when the rage meter in the bottom left gets to 100. Taming is based off of the killed creatures HP which makes this surprisingly easy as if you tame a really pumped up Bronto, Diplo, or Rex with only levels in health you can near insta tame, but be careful. A Rex at 111k HP only did 92.7% tame on a 3x Taming server so you need either a really buffed creature or a sacrifices. The Rex only gave 42 Rage as well so go wild and enjoy your new Carchar!!!!

Just saying if you trap the Carchar it can sometimes bug out and not eat the corpses you give it then you have to go out of render of it and back in to make the glitch stop. I tame a Carchar by getting a really tanky tame then whistle passive then let the Carchar attack it while you get the corpses if you didn’t cryo one of your tamed creatures and threw them out already then you just feed the Carchar withought it lagging. This is how I tamed my first Carchar so I hope this helps and I know it’s rather late to type this but I just thought why not.
In order to tame it, you need to kill and bring Dino corpses to it(it will do a sniffing animation). It will then feast on the corpse and you will see a friendship meter, bring dead dinosaurs to it in order to fill up that meter. Once full, you will have a max of 10 minutes to ride the Carcharadontasaurus and kill all dinosaurs in site in order to raise it's taming bar, just know it loses slight taming effectiveness when taking damage from dinosaurs, it loses a great amount of effectiveness when you get thrown off, if this happens, simply just do back the first step until the meter is full again. It has a bite which induces a thrash effect which slows down healing, it's second ability is a tail swipe or spin. Good luck.
First step: Trap in large bear trap to make this easier, drag over and offer it dead dinos.
Second step: Jump on and make it eat all the things.
This is actually deceptively easy to tame if you do a little setup. You will need of creatures with super high health you don't mind losing (cryopodded), a baby yutyrannus(cryopodded), a large bear trap or two, and 4 metal dinosaur gateways. Once you find your carch, place down 3 of the gates in a \_| shape, with the opening facing your carch. Place your bear trap(s) inside. After that lead the carch into your trap, preferably with something that's fast and can take hits. Once it's in the bear traps, place a final dino gate completing the square. Once that's done, put all your carnivorous creatures on passive, and slaughter the baby yutyrannus. Drag it's corpse over to the carch wich should sniff the air and then eat it. Beware of argentavis, as they will steal the corpse. Once it has eaten the corpse, the carch will temporarily become ridable. Dismantle one side of the trap and walk it out. Next, you'll want to uncryo your high health tame and make sure it is cryo-sleeping. Once it is, unclaim it and then mount the carch and eat it. Repeat the past two steps until your carch is tamed.
Just as a tip for the second stage I would recommend unclaimed diplos since they don’t do damage you won’t be at risk of losing that precious taming effectiveness as well as that they give a lot in that second stage!
