Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a carcharodontosaurus.
Eat a rare Flower while it eats so some dinos come
See there are many suggestions for taming a carcharuhdauntosaurus some need metal gates end expensive stuff but the trick I want to tell you just works like magic without much resources.
1.you will need an argy or rhyniognatha and that's it
2. Just kill a creature using your mount and go to the creatures corpse and click on drag body in this method you can carry more weight without having much weight stat
3.try killing mammoths or rex if you manage to kill one and just drag that to the carcha when he is calm and stay close till carcha smells the body and don't go near him just let him come to you and eat that beleive me he will not bite you as soon as he eats the corpse just fly away if it's taming bar is not full .
4.and once allows you to ride hum just kill as much creature as you can rexes brontos and diplos are best
Note that.
Special thing about this technique is you won't need metal gateways or anything just a flying mount with decent weight cap like argentavis or rhyniognatha
.and remember you can use your rex too just set it on passive unclaim and kill it and carry it to carcha and with my trick a mid level player can carry a rex
Hope this trick helps 👍
When taming these you can use baby spino and rexes to max out trust meter.
Traps are unnecessary, high level rex babies are unnecessary, running away is unnecessary, I have tamed 3 cryofridges of these guys. What I do is kill a low level baby rex, I have a bunch bred up just for this now. Walk the dead baby rex up to the Carcharo, making sure that when the Carcharo turns to eat the dead baby rex that it will not be damagaed by the environment, keep holding onto the dead baby and let the Carcharo eat it (you have a 50-50 chance that it hits you a little too when it eats), mount the Carcharo and kill large, high level dinos (rexes, brontos, mammoths, diplos, rhinos, yutys, carnos, etc). On 3x a lvl 90 or lower takes one baby rex, over lvl 90 takes 2 baby rexes.
How to tame!!
3 Metal Gates (not behemoth)
1 Large bear
Make the trap like the top of a triangle sort of then bear trap middle, lead the carch into the trap and place last gate behind to make triangle, kill stuff that’s around you and drag it over to the carch and it will do a sniff animation and then drop a dead body infront, it will show a trust meter kill things and drag it over to the carch until the trust meter is full when it’s full remove back gate and u can ride it for 10min in that amount of time u have to go running around killing stuff and it’s bar will go up
THIS MAY TAKE A FEW TRIES
Bring it trike and morellatops bodies, and get a few bodies stashed away in case you can’t find anymore Dino’s fast enough, I tamed my first one last night, but my cryopod glitches and kinda just ate it, if you have a quetzal with a platform saddle bring that; but bodies on top of it and bring them down from that when it’s ready, this way you can stay out of reach
Use 2 low lvl baby wyvern 1 gets it up to 7/8ths it is really easy to tame
Trap it in pillars un render it and come in from the top that way it renders in at the same time as the trap
Use high HP diplos because damage decreases taming effectiveness.
And the higher the HP, the better taming effectiveness.
I was searching for high lvl rexes on lava island and found a 145 carch on lesser one instead. I instantly decided to tame him and spend like 1,5 total. A lot of time he was doing stupid things but now I understand how to tame it, how I did it in the end:
Crafted like 4 stone gates, placed 3 in the form of half circle
Agroed him and made him attack gates
While he was busy locked him
Went away to rerender, it will make him stop attacking gates
Lure a rex and kill it
Grab his body and offer him
If he doesn't sniffing or eating rerender again
After he eat it freed him
Commite massacre killing rexes, carnos and argies
We are friends now, he is awesome:)
Up this if you think it helps! Carchar will be buggy when trapped and could constantly attack giving you no chance at gaining trust. Seems to prefer small dinos and doesn't try eating flyers. If it misses the first chomp on the corpse then it will no longer gain trust on the corpse you are feeding it. You must be carrying the corpse while it is feeding on it. I found it easier to gain trust by building a walkway so it has an easier time chomping the corpse. After gaining full trust I found it easier to gain taming on extinction with the amount of dinos near the spawn. I highly recommend using an elixir on high level carchars so that you can tame it without having to gain it's trust again.
Finally some last pointers to help out...
I found using a baby rex (boss rex) was instant trust when it chomped on the corpse. Carchars will likely sniff the corpse you bring it and not chomp, meaning you have to render in the area by leaving or you may or.may not have to kill it if it stops trying to chomp the corpse. I forgot to mention that I don't know if just any baby rex will do so be wary of that. The carchars will most definitely kick you off after it reaches 100 stacks, so take it back to your trap before 98 stacks. That should be all you need to know! Hopefully this helps!
Traps are not good the carcha may get bugged and not eat just use a tek suit or gen 2 armor and drag body then fly
I can confirm after my taming experience that feeding it boss baby rexes gave it a ton of friendship.
Can't knokout tame it have to drag corpses to it it is a hard to tame thing
Trap it with metal
Boy don’t let these be Cryo-sick!! I think it has one of the highest Torpor and slowest torpor reduction speed in the game…so yeah, do with that what you will!
Is it on mobile yet? Why I asked is I play the game on my tablet an have not seen it yet.
To instantly ride The Carcharodontosaurus. Drag one high level Rex to him. When he sniffs let go. TRAPS are not needed and may bug him out. If you are holding/dragging Dino/animal The Carcharodontosaurus will not agro to you.
Slaughter baby boss Rex’s, drag till it sniffs then run or fly away. When the green icon appears above its head get on and ride! Don’t waste your time with alphas either cause it won’t kill them! When it kicks you off repeat the slaughter process and get on a ride!!
Feeding the Carch Gallimimus brings its friendship level up by a lot. I would recommend using them.
Baby Rexes work like a charm. Whoever suggested them is the GOAT
