Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a carcharodontosaurus.
THIS THING IS NOT A KNOCKOUT TAME! Its a passive tame, all you gotta do is use a giga trap using metal gates (don't use stone or weaker) to surround it, once you trap it kill any creature that you can drag and bring over to the carchar, once you get closer it'll turn towards you and sniff the corspe you brought, when it sniff just drop the corpse and it'll eat it and a taming bar will appear above it, just keep bringing it corpses until that bar is filled, once its filled you'll be able to ride it without a saddle, you'll have 10 minutes to kill as much creatures as possible to increase its taming, once the second taming bar gets filled it'll be tamed and you'll get dismounted so be careful.
NOTE: Wild Carchar has around 70K health very similar to the giga.
As of right now it's out. The way to tame it is by trapping it with metal gates and feeding it dino corpses (the bigger the better). Once you do that a hexagon thing will appear. keep feeding it until hexagon turns green then ride it and kill everything you see. Bam! You got a new dino buddy!
Same spawns as a Giga, bring it a dead dino to eat, like mammoths. Mount and kill other creatures. Once done it will be tame. Lvl 96 for saddle. Very similar to a Giga in stats.
Info from Raasclark
so a lot of people seem to not know how to properly tame a carch. you have 2 options; feed it a baby rex (which gives it full trust) or, have fun by killing tons of dinos. I prefer the second method, after that you ride it and kill a ton of creatures, and no, it's not smart to use tamed creatures, as it's faster to kill a ton of small creatures. in extinction it's extremly easy to get 100% effectiveness when taming. by the way, if it has 40% melee starting out, and if you have a giga that has 30% melee, it's mainly because if you tame anything lower than level 30 or so it doesn't have any points in melee.
I heard it’s really good for PVP fights and if it was with a Yuto you’re army would probably be one of the strongest on the server. It has some sort of buff roar by the way. It probably could shred through mid sized creature’s.
Their eggs make yellow Excptional kibble.
Pve official strategy:
When hunting take with you cryofridge, generator, gas, 2 foundations, 3 babies rex and ofc metal gates and trap (I don’t really use trap with bug). Once it is in the trap, place the foundation and everything, you’ll have 0 issue to fill the bar.
Yw!
Baby Wyverns work as well, and also try to kill snow owls with it it takes faster
Hey guys welcome back! Its me TheGamingINDO445! Its been a while since ive been posting... so ill be posting on how to tame the Carcharodontosaurus!
Requirments for the tame:
1: 4 Metal Gateways (Not behemoth)
2: Any type of gun
3: Ammo or Bullets (Both work)
4: Carcharodontosaurus Saddle (Aqquired in lvl 96)
5:Corpses (Any dead creature)
6:Defensive Gear
7: Large bear trap (Trapping large creatures)
Lets start!
Step 1: Find one (I recomend Ragnorok for looking one, and they spawn at where the gigas spawn.)
Step 2: Then trap your Carchar in your bear trap and gates.
Step 3: Kill or bring your animal corpses to the Charcar, then youll see this friendship bar. Once you feed the Charcar enough corpses you now can destroy the bear trap and gates then you can ride it because its at full friendship meter.
Step 4: Go around dinos and start attack and killing them and once you kill enough dinos you can tame it! But be aware since if the dino that you are attacking can attack you back which drops your taming effectiveness like 0.1-0.9% and the better the dino that your killing the more taming percentage you get!
Step 5: Equip your saddle and go in the ARK and explore with your new friend.👍
Thanks for seeing my guide, make sure you liked this tip and if you do pls like it. So anyways BYE GUYS!

During the taming process After it allows you to ride it ensure the bloodrage meter does not reach 100 otherwise it will kick you off and start to eat you. The taming effectiveness goes down only when it takes damage while you are riding it. Try to attack and kill things that cannot hit you with attacks or you will start to lose levels
Make sure you don’t have a shoulder pet on while taming as you won’t be able to drag dead Dino’s. Also it force kicks you off after the game is complete so be careful of the fall damage. I died right after taming one because of this.
Just Chad it out and pre stack a couple dead trikes then start feeding it. Once it sniffs, get the hell out of dodge and repeat.
Just give a baby Rex (don’t do if u only have 1 breeding pair) and feed to carchar, than run away and trust should be full, come back and kill everything you see.
I think u can kill ur own games to get the meter up but I’m not gonna be the one to try 👍👍
Anytime I would use the old “lock it in a metal gate cage” the Carcharodontosaurus would just bug out and not eat food. Decided to tame it freely, easiest way possible.
If you don’t want to kill a Rex to feed to the Carcharo, 2 andrews work as a good substitute. Just make sure that Carc is on free roam and not trapped to not get the bug where it will sniff but not eat.
Feed them baby Rex’s it puts their trust up by alot
Don’t try to kill kentro on the second phase of taming it, taming Efficiency will go down each bite
Best giga slayer in all the worlds
They fixed the baby rex thingy 😔😔
I can’t make up my mind, the glitch, where it doesn’t eat, only happens sometimes so just trap it with three metal dinosaur gateways with a large bear trap in the middle then when it’s in the bear trap, go to the back where there’s not a metal Dino gateway and then close it then feed it two Gallimimus in plz up this to spread the word!!!! ; )
