What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I wonder how we would tame it maybe by breaking its teeth?
Let's just hope it isn't build like a Giga
The carcharodontosaurus to find one is to look where you founded
If you're decimating an area and don't wanna constantly be clicking the drop all button or rearranging items then clicking drop all, then enable the "disable resource harvesting" setting in the creature options. This will make the carcharo gain nothing upon harvesting a corpse similar to when its inventory gets full. You might need a max of 10 stacks of raw meat tho for hunger and healing.
Alright this is how to tame a Carcha, upgrade speed
Oh u thought there was going to be more well if u want more details just go onto the Carno I wrote how to tame that and u can use the exact same strategy to this
Btw my righting was pretty bad on that tip for the Carno so be aware 😅😬
Baby Spinosauruses work as well as baby rexs
So i saw people complain on how hard it is to gain its trust in my opinion it isnt sure it ran away but it came back and ate the body few chalicotheriums later (yes im poor so i dont have a rex) i got its trust but a mistake i made is feeding it too close to my pile of chalicotheriums it ate it all and didnt get any trust
U can use a yuty or rex baby to feed him
metal billboards work fine for trapping too don’t waste resources on gateways!! also they love baby paracers ive found ;) happy taming!
When you see this tank you have two choices run or diy it is a easy tame I rate it 5/10
Rememberrr if you see one dont wait to tame it cause it will despawn. I cant describe what I felt when I was trying to get 2 Rexes male and female JUST TO GET A BABY REX for the best taming I finally got the baby rex and took him in there with my quetzal I saw that Carcha not there. Probably it took me too long
Usually you should use the corpse of a baby Rex, then take one gate out of the trap and ride it, once the blood stack of whatever (the thing above your hot bar while riding it) gets near 100 ride it back to the trap and trap it, then… repeat I guess
How to efficiently tame a carcharo:
1. Pick up a rex, paracer, or yuty with a rhynio (preferably wild)
2. Find a carcharo and drop the rex, yuty or paracer near it (if you're traveling with a rex or yuty, strafe right or left to avoid getting bitten repeatedly or shriek at it, pick it up again and shriek at it again when it starts to attack you)
3. Kill all of the argies or small, fast carnivores nearby (so they can't harvest the dino you're about to kill and feed to the carcharo)
4. Kill the rex, yuty or paracer, and drag its body
5. Walk slowly to the carcharo and have it eat the body (your rhynio may tank a hit once in the process)
6. If the carcharo doesn't have a green hexagon with a dino icon on it, than you didn't feed the carcharo correctly, try again. (this mostly happens when the carcharo is already targeting the corpse before you click "drag body", so get away from it far enough that it doesn't, think of a rex's aggro range.)
7. Place a bed next to your rhynio so you can respawn and get your stuff if you die
8.Mount the carcharo, and prepare to abandon your rhynio for about half an hour, and endure freezing temperatures.
9. If your carcharo spawned on far's peak, travel to the frozen tooth, then to the winter's mouth, and eventually stay between the winter's mouth and the whitesky peak area, while killing everything in your path, and avoiding letting your carcharo get attacked. If your carcharo spawned on any other mountain, just follow the path starting from that mountain.
10. Kill everything you can easily kill (focus on groups of pack mules or dinos that spawn in multiples of 3-4) while eating rare flowers until your carcharo is tamed, or until it kicks you off and its eyes turn yellow. (similarly to when a giga gets rage)
11. If you get forcibly dismounted off of your carcharo and die, respawn back to your rhynio, grab another rex, paracer or yuty, drop it near the carcharo, and travel back to your death location.
If you survive, just run a safe distance from the carcharo and die there, since there's not really much you can do.
12. Grab your items back, place a bed nearby, kill the dino you were carrying with your rhynio, and feed it to the carcharo again.
13. Kill everything you can easily kill again until your carcharo is tamed, or until it forcibly dismounts you again, in which you should repeat the last 2 steps again.
Additional information:
A level 150 giga gives 18.1% and a titano gives 22.8% for a lvl 150 carcharo and even less on multiplayer, just don't.
Spam rare flowers to attract medium size pack animals, which give taming affinity much more faster.
You can't damage your own tames when you are riding on a wild carcharo nor will the carcharo attack them, but if you unclaim and kill them, they will grant taming affinity.
You can't attack when you are out of stamina, so keep that in mind while avoiding getting your carcharo hit.
Here are some tips I believe on how to tame these dinosaurs number one brutalize it with any dinosaur you can until it is knocked out. Number two feed it dead dinosaur corpses number three if you feed it enough, it will be tamed number four. If it is tamed, you can harass other dinosaurs like pteranodons Brachiosaurus. Rex's, terror, birds, dodos and more. Have fun with your new dinosaur!
If you wanna get rid of a *wild* carcharo, you can drag a dead corpse of an dino that has at least 500 drag weight to it like a rex, let it eat it, then ride it, and make it jump off cliffs until it dies.
What to do if you see one:run… just run like your real life depends on it
