Tips & Strategies

What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
First step: Trap in large bear trap to make this easier, drag over and offer it dead dinos.
Second step: Jump on and make it eat all the things.
Not sure if it was just me, but I think there’s a minimum size of creatures that you can feed to the Carcha. I found that out when I tried feeding it a Doedicurus. Hope this helps!
If i am right it means that it has the power of a yuty, the power of a megatherium but with everything and over time and is the size of a giga (more or less) this could easily replace some certain tames in boss fights or PvP raids,
but the power could easily be nerfed or they could easily make it very hard to tame as a balance.
This will probably be a new go to creature
DIPLODOCUS are the best for finishing stage 2 of taming, because the effectiveness is based of LEVELED HEALTH ~ Obito Uchiha
Feed it gallys that’s all I can say
When it roars and begins chasing you find a big Dino and make the car hit it then run off
Just as a tip for the second stage I would recommend unclaimed diplos since they don’t do damage you won’t be at risk of losing that precious taming effectiveness as well as that they give a lot in that second stage!
If you trap one feed it 1 baby yuty because they give full friendship then ride it and things that attack back will ruin taming effectiveness and baby wyverns are best for taming it up. I hope you enjoy your new friend
This is actually deceptively easy to tame if you do a little setup. You will need of creatures with super high health you don't mind losing (cryopodded), a baby yutyrannus(cryopodded), a large bear trap or two, and 4 metal dinosaur gateways. Once you find your carch, place down 3 of the gates in a \_| shape, with the opening facing your carch. Place your bear trap(s) inside. After that lead the carch into your trap, preferably with something that's fast and can take hits. Once it's in the bear traps, place a final dino gate completing the square. Once that's done, put all your carnivorous creatures on passive, and slaughter the baby yutyrannus. Drag it's corpse over to the carch wich should sniff the air and then eat it. Beware of argentavis, as they will steal the corpse. Once it has eaten the corpse, the carch will temporarily become ridable. Dismantle one side of the trap and walk it out. Next, you'll want to uncryo your high health tame and make sure it is cryo-sleeping. Once it is, unclaim it and then mount the carch and eat it. Repeat the past two steps until your carch is tamed.
THEY ARE VERY POWERFULL
Cage them and then ride them after you kill stuff and have it eat that
The trust part of taming goes by drag weight. A rex will give it 100% trust, Yuty is 75%, Stego and Trike are 50%. On the killing part of the taming it goes by XP. So higher level and bigger dinos tame faster. Just avoid taking too much damage and roar at 99 kills or it will kick you off and have to do friendship again. Good luck and hope this helps.
These things are VERY fast, faster = more lethal. Don't mess around with land Dinos nearby this creature
Catch are not good without rage buff, full rage buff and easily 1v3+ a giga BUT ONLY WITH FULL BUFF
From experience: If you don't fill the trust bar in one feed the Carchar WILL aggro on you. Have a flier ready! These don't do well trapped. Once it sniffs the body/notices your offer, drop the body and book it back to your flier.
They spawn basically every giga spawn so in rag they spawn in the highlands desert and 30 20 ish
Can take it in boss fights ?
With high level army
Here's a little tip, whatever you do DON'T try to tame a carcha on fjordur if you don't want your roitine for the next irl week to be boot up ark and fly around 3 spots with no effect. Try. On ragnarok or the island instead
Beware when taming a high level you will probably need to gain their trust multiple times it took me 3 tries
