If you have a shadowmane with good health you can kill it make sure to bring 2 extra in case some thing bad happens

*ENCOUNTERING* The Carchar spawns everywhere that a Giga would spawn. It spawns on every map that has tameable gigas. If you're looking for the carchar in a place that gigas don't usually spawn, then it's not going to be there.

They are very strong and hard to tame, not to mention that they are very rare. So good luck finding them.
