Tips & Strategies

What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
After taming, if you choose to breed them they will become a full time job unless you have a maeguna. They raise very slowly unless its 2x and after reaching juvenile, 1 carcha will eat 4 troughs of cooked meat in 45mins before reaching 25%. After 25% they seem to slow down the eating a bit. I have yet to play test with tek troughs but will update when I do!
I'm not gonna lie to you so please take this into mind.I think these bad boys are better than gigas.HEAR ME OUT.Gigas take loads of tranqs to knock ot and they wake up REALLY quickly.Where as charchars you don't even have to knock out.Plus charchars have a frenzy buff that allows them to do more damage and have increased speed. I like the giga but I think Charchars are just better.
This thing better spawn in the redwoods, no one goes there anyway because they’re already terrible. If I see a carchar on a metal run, I will probably crap myself.
Hi it's me the guy who told people how to tame. If anyone is wondering where to find it it spawns where giga spawn so every map except gen1 and scorched and ab. (Does not spawn. With giga it shares spawn so if giga not spawning then carcha will be there)
If your wondering how to spawn in the CarCharo with command it is (gmsummon “Carcha_Character_BP_C” 150) *what ever lv you want”
^ for noobs to see
You may ask, how many baby rexs will i need for the entire taming process? Well, its 1 for 100% trust, but your most likely not to complete the entire taming process in one go, so here’s a list: (i still recommend extra rexs incase there is a lack of creatures in your area)
Lvl 1-40: 1 or 2
Lvl 40-80: 2-3
Lvl 80-150: 2-5
It really depends on how many and what creatures are around, but its never guaranteed for a one and done, so good luck and happy taming.
Do not get too close to these guys if you aren’t taming them because they are fast too fast i have like 190% into movement speed into my survivor and one of these guys could easily catch up to me
You do not need to trap, just drag dead baby rex and you'll be fine. Bring Tek suit just in case
Baby Diplos give 100% trust so tame and cryo one
Taming these is easier than it seems, you don't even need a trap, depending on the settings you might only need one baby rex.
Cryo the baby rex, find the carcha and kill the rex and drag it to the carcha and the trust meter should be full.
NOTE: IF YOU CRYO A CHAR DON’T THROW IT OUT UNTIL YOU DROP ALL YOUR ITEM OR STORE THEM AWAY. THE ITEM WILL GET DELETED OR YOUR FILES GET CORRUPTED IF YOU THROW THE CHAR OUT. THIS MIGHT ONLY APPLIES TO ARK MOBILE.
If you want to desecrate an entire zoo’s worth of Dino’s, this is the tame for you. Albeit a pain in the rear to tame, it’s like a giga that went through special forces training. Tail spin attack is amazing when swamped with pack animals and can easily wipe out allos and such for your needed trophies.
Does not need to be trapped to be tamed! Baby Rexes are amazing for trust.
Better drag weight the animal means higher trust
>Drag weigh amount = amount trust
The higher amount of hp gives bigger percentage
>High hp = Tame %
Use metal billboards for cheap and easy traps
These things can spawn in the overseer arena entrance insted of gigas

Its found at mountains ( except the redwood mountain ) now to tame it? trap it with gates then feed it (dont make it a bit spacial it like to roam) or just have bodies nearby (make sure you dont feed it too close to the bodies or it may eat all of them) once you gain its trust kill large dinos (rex, bronto, diplo, etc) or dinos that are in groups (hyenadon, stegos, dire wolves, trikes, etc) trap it = expensive
nearby bodies = risky
