Hatch it and put the chicken on it for me please I love it so bad and I’m gonna give you the chicken and then I can make it to you later I don’t have any more money for it so I’m not going back in there anymore because I’m gonna be a bad mom I just want you guys know I don’t have a house I want you guys yyyyyyyyu
Use higher level corpses or larger dino corpses
When your filling up his trust meter it’s better to kill a bunch of little things rather then killing a few rexes or Carnos
If youre not able to get the scale to 100% after giving him the dead dinos try again, the % stay the same
If you wanna tame it really quick first feed it a baby Rex to fill its meter, now this next step is weird to many people but it's one if the best, tame a bunch of diplos breed them and only level health. After leveling no need to heal them just unclaimed and feed to charcar, this works well because the more health the dino has the higher the taming percent. Just make sure that if it is not a diplo make sure the dino you unclaimed is on passive
I one time knocked it out and it said “Put Food In Inventory To Tame.” What does that mean?
There's a glitch where the dino WILL NOT EAT THE BODY AT ALL. You can try de-loading the dino and coming back but sometimes that won't work at all. Just be careful that this doesn't happen to you while taming or you have to give up taming it.
It's a struggle I know but ark is full of glitches.
Why won’t it eat it smells the corpse and then it doesn’t eat it , need help
It’s better to go for lots of smaller creatures
To stop the feeding glitch, we used a large bear trap, 2 behemoth gates and 6 metal dinosaur gates. You will need the gate doors for the behemoth gates.
We set the behemoth gates some ways away from each other (3 metal Dino gates apart) and left one behemoth gate closed and opened the other and let the char rage on us inside the contraption. Was able to tame him and stop the not eating glitch.
Do the same trick you would use for the ovis. Pack an ovis or whooly rhino full of health and kill them near the char and feed.
Definitely bring sleeping bags. Can’t have too many.
What I personally have found to be the best way to tame thwse guys, besides just running around them wildly hoping to not be eaten-
Is to make a large circle with stone dinosaur gateways. They must be in a round formation, and I've found it is important that they are not touching/connected to one another.
Lead the carchar into it, and close off the way it came in.
After this, it should have plenty of space to move around, I haven't had issues with it biting the gates as long as you have a dead creature with you.
This way, you can easily run in and out and the carchar can easily walk around and not get stuck on corners and such that prevent it from doing its eating animation.
Baby rhinos is what I've been using, but baby brontos also work well and you can also carry them.
After youve got its friendship meter all the way up, tear down a gate, take them out, and get to taming it!
By the way don’t use big Dinos go for higher level Dinos. P.S if you want to summon one in use this code summon carcha_character_bp_c
To instantly ride the Carcharodontosaurus. Drag one high level Rex to him.
In my experience rhinos and Megatheriums work best. Remember that the level of the dead dino doesn't matter, only the drag weight. Two of the above mentioned fill its trust meter. I tamed a level 10 Megatherium and I clone those because it's super cheap.
Once the Carcha has entrusted you, now you must kill dinos to fill the taming progress.
From testing, drag weight matters for the trust process, however maximum HP for the taming process matters. The higher the HP of the dino being killed, the higher the taming progress increases. On PVE, basilisks, brontos, and diplos work best. On PVP, soakers with high HP are the best to insta tame it.
Want to tame one? Tame and imprint a diplocodus and level its health to hundred or millions then unclaimed it and kill it with the chardo
The taming bar depends on the health of the thing it kills
Before taming it you should bring some creatures to unclaim so when you need to kill creatures you can kill those.
It’s out now everybody, go get it!
