What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Use 2 low lvl baby wyvern 1 gets it up to 7/8ths it is really easy to tame
Trap it in pillars un render it and come in from the top that way it renders in at the same time as the trap
What do these things look like? No pic and I’ve never seen one in the wild.
Found were Gigas spawn and take note they can shred extinction bosses
I’m on crystal isles and i found like three of these, three different times, in the desert. i say you have a good chance of finding these in the desert
Use high HP diplos because damage decreases taming effectiveness.
And the higher the HP, the better taming effectiveness.
I was searching for high lvl rexes on lava island and found a 145 carch on lesser one instead. I instantly decided to tame him and spend like 1,5 total. A lot of time he was doing stupid things but now I understand how to tame it, how I did it in the end:
Crafted like 4 stone gates, placed 3 in the form of half circle
Agroed him and made him attack gates
While he was busy locked him
Went away to rerender, it will make him stop attacking gates
Lure a rex and kill it
Grab his body and offer him
If he doesn't sniffing or eating rerender again
After he eat it freed him
Commite massacre killing rexes, carnos and argies
We are friends now, he is awesome:)
Up this if you think it helps! Carchar will be buggy when trapped and could constantly attack giving you no chance at gaining trust. Seems to prefer small dinos and doesn't try eating flyers. If it misses the first chomp on the corpse then it will no longer gain trust on the corpse you are feeding it. You must be carrying the corpse while it is feeding on it. I found it easier to gain trust by building a walkway so it has an easier time chomping the corpse. After gaining full trust I found it easier to gain taming on extinction with the amount of dinos near the spawn. I highly recommend using an elixir on high level carchars so that you can tame it without having to gain it's trust again.
Finally some last pointers to help out...
I found using a baby rex (boss rex) was instant trust when it chomped on the corpse. Carchars will likely sniff the corpse you bring it and not chomp, meaning you have to render in the area by leaving or you may or.may not have to kill it if it stops trying to chomp the corpse. I forgot to mention that I don't know if just any baby rex will do so be wary of that. The carchars will most definitely kick you off after it reaches 100 stacks, so take it back to your trap before 98 stacks. That should be all you need to know! Hopefully this helps!
Traps are not good the carcha may get bugged and not eat just use a tek suit or gen 2 armor and drag body then fly
Bring it trike and morellatops bodies, and get a few bodies stashed away in case you can’t find anymore Dino’s fast enough, I tamed my first one last night, but my cryopod glitches and kinda just ate it, if you have a quetzal with a platform saddle bring that; but bodies on top of it and bring them down from that when it’s ready, this way you can stay out of reach
I can confirm after my taming experience that feeding it boss baby rexes gave it a ton of friendship.
Can't knokout tame it have to drag corpses to it it is a hard to tame thing
Trap it with metal
Boy don’t let these be Cryo-sick!! I think it has one of the highest Torpor and slowest torpor reduction speed in the game…so yeah, do with that what you will!
Is it on mobile yet? Why I asked is I play the game on my tablet an have not seen it yet.
To instantly ride The Carcharodontosaurus. Drag one high level Rex to him. When he sniffs let go. TRAPS are not needed and may bug him out. If you are holding/dragging Dino/animal The Carcharodontosaurus will not agro to you.
