For taming I recommend making a lot of metal (get industrial forge) so you can make a trap. It consists of 3 metal gates 1 large bear trap, lure it into the trap then use another gate to close the trap and I don’t recommend getting close to it even if it is in the trap (personal experience). Once it’s trapped just feed it dead animal bodies I recommend baby rexes bc it will fill his trust meter instantly. Then when the trust meter is filled break the trap and go Kill as many creatures as you can and when the meter fills up… BOOM 💥 u got a charcha
