Pretty standard knock out tame. But you definitely need a trap and distance to avoid the fire breath and stomps as well as keep it from running into lava. Which it could survive

Trapping it with doorframes helps, try to use shocking tranqs with headshots. Sit on a Pyromane whilst shooting to avoid all flamethrower damage.

It's a standard knockout, yet you should be aware that higher levels are very strong.

I recommend to either bring a Pyromane or the best idea is to build a trap and lure it into the trap. As soon as Boaratos start firing, just get out of his fire attack radius and snipe it with darts from a distance.

Boaratos can easily kill you with its flame attack, so anything to extinguish yourself or avoid fire damage, is a good idea.

Very basic 3x3 1 height stone enclosure trap is enough to tame. Based on your server settings, bring a lot of narcotics as it seems torpor goes really quickly down, like Giga's does. If you let it attack multiple times before putting it into sleep, you can deplete a lot of his hunger and tame it quicker.

It's also a good idea to kill any nearby Boaratos you don't want to tame, as they are very aggressive and have really huge AoE range for fiery attack. It drops Beacon after killing it and it's being spawned on Therokis (the centered lava island on Astraeos map).

Use metal billboards, shocking darts, best longneck you have and bring narcs to keep out wakes up fast.

For taming this id say make sure its in a trap and id say for the gigantic torpor use the lost colony bow if u have it, i used it to tame a 130 boaratos knocked unconscious after a few mins but only problem is the bow deals a lot of health damage too

He can break through all kinds of trap so be careful

Takes about 60 shocking tranq darts with a 220% rifle, torpor drains SUPER fast, but eats fast too

If you put it in a trap in shallow water it won't be able to damage Stone or set you on fire

Drop them in a cage or trap them any other way, extinguisher grenade when they hogs wrath then shoot them with shocking tranquilizer darts, i never had to worry about them dying.

Do the grenade first when starting cause if you shoot them then switch to the grenade to extinguish them, their torpor is already back at 0 when you switch back and this was after a head shot dealing 2k torpor.

If you can lure it into a trap in the water it definitely helps. Then you won’t have to worry about the fire. I went overboard a little. Fought an ocean platform and hover skiff over from Genesis. Built doorways around the top inner part of the platform, then 2 walls down all the way around. Then cover the bottom inner part ceilings. The water is just deep enough to extinguish and not drown the animal. Used the skiff tractor beam and dropped it in the pen. It doesn’t even agro really when you shoot it from above.

USE THE LONGNECK RIFLE AND TRANQ DARTS. Chances are your crossbow will kill it before you knock it out. Made a backup save before trying to tame a level 54. Died with every crossbow I had. Definitely pump it full of narcotic when it’s out.

It has giga torpor and a low health

Its a knockout tame

It eats meat

If you have one then go kill pyromane

Sit on a Pyromane when knocking them out. You get zero fire damage and easier head shots! They wake up fast so bring plenty of narcotics.

I would trap it in the classic ramp doorframe trap. Then shoot it from the back of a pyro. You should be fine as long as you dont let the bleed get you

Knock out tame with high torpor drain. Wait for the flame to extinguish and then knock it out. Meat and kibble

Use Tesla Coils to massively increase Torpor affliction while trapping it and shooting it with shocking tranq darts for a speedier taming process.

EASIEST TAMING OFFICIAL PVE:

4 metal foundations and 8 metal walls (double door frame) and ramp into one side. Bit like the early game traps. Throw a ln extinguisher grenade at it to put the flames out every time it does its jump and flames come out of its nose. Then use a longness rifle and shocking tranq darts to KO it. Then place a medical stand next to it. With 50 narcotics and it will tame in less then 10 kibble in minutes. EASY. Ive tamed 8 in under an hour. Structures dont take damage and medical stand feeds the narco in keeping it knocked out.
