Go into third person (hold down the “map” button on Xbox) and hit them with a torch. WARNING- if there are to a lot of swarms, you’ll need to repair your torch because they will break really fast.

The best way to Kill this sh*t at the begining, is to use the torch.

Use a flamethrower to kill them

Heres something if you lead these guys to a base in genesis since you cant tame them let the other tribe your raiding fight the swarms while you raid. 😏😏😏😏

Avoid the “swarm” when possible by going away from it. If it targets you, pull out a torch and swing in the air in the direction of the swarm, while looking about “hip high” as the hit box becomes visible from fire. Then use torch, sword, or Dino to attack the “hit box”. Once dead, you can harvest it where the hit box was last before it died.

The hit box will tend to fly at ground level, but will fly up to where you are if you are not standing at ground level.

Some Dino’s don’t agro the swarm, others do.

The swarm will still attack unattended Dinos.

As of a certain recent patch, they can no longer target or attack you inside a base (building), but they can get over Dino walls, so your Dino’s need to be on neutral.

I don’t trust leaving my base doors open, just in case they can get through them while open.

If you are getting attacked often it seem s to be they can only track movement, so as long as they are not actively attacking you, stand still, they will go away, if they are actively attacking you go a little distance away and then stand still

Use torches to burn them, very effective however these dumbies spawn persistently so be weary the second you kill one another one could spawn any second. As soon as you get full fur armor LEAVE THE BOG and go to the arctic.

If these are the little craps in the swarms, then I am here to say that they don’t have a first person hit box. Go into third person with a pike or spear and just start stabbing them. So easy once you know this.

Just get a Dino, only put it into health and mostly melee damage. Put it in front of your base and let it do it’s thing👍

This mf is the reason I went from genesis back to valguero, never get near these things unless u have a good level dino

There are a few was to kill these pests you could use a pike or spear and aim for the small hitbox in the middle or if they swarm in a gauntlet use the flamethrower to easly kill them also they do 1hp damage each bite so make sure you have your blood packs or medical brew and stay safe

Most anoying is when you are doing the bog bug gauntlet mission and while your getting attacted by mantises and spiders this stupid thing comes and drains your stamina and health 😠.

Use third person and use torch and they die

The easiest way is using a dino

They can be killed if you switch to third person or use a Dino

They can aggro on Mammoths, but will never attack the Mammoth it is targeting. This means that if an Insect Swarm aggros on your Mammoth, they'll hover around it until they drop down dead on their own. There may be other non-Bog creatures that do this, but at least try using your Mammoth as a mosquito candle sometime!

If it involves dealing with them as major problems, then why even build your base at where they spawn?

You can’t get a dermis of one of these, harvesting their corpse with a taxidermy tool weirdly doesn’t give a dermis, and you can’t forcetame them or summon them in as tamed. (Don’t try to summon in a high level tamed one, it’ll be hard to kill and might even kill you first.)

If you stand in water they will eventually fly away because they don’t attack you in water because the torch thing doesn’t work for everyone

Don’t go into bog if you do, you should bring torch.
