Chapter twenty two: An evil switch in plans.
“I’m surprised that you didn’t want to be teamed up with your girlfriend.” Brutus said, sitting watching Daniel train Hailey. Daniel shrugged while lifting a huge weight. “Actually we broke up.” He remarked casually. Brutus blinked. “Wait, wait, wait, y’all broke up?!?” Brutus exclaimed. Daniel set the weight down and raised his eyebrows at Brutus. “Yeah we did….why do you care?” Daniel asked. “Oh I don’t. I was just about to verbally insult you two but now….I’m gonna go eat that pegomastax to drown my sorrow.” Brutus said then walked off to find Peggie. Hailey was trying in vain to lift a giant weight. Daniel watched her. “Lift with your legs not you back. Trust me. I was saw a guy lift with his back and he ended up in a wheelchair the rest of his life.” Daniel said. Hailey tried harder. “I…can’t pick it up!” Hailey said while tugging at the weight. It didn’t move an inch. Daniel scooted her aside and picked the weight up like it was nothing. “What? How did you do that?” Hailey asked. Daniel flashed his pearly whites and tossed the weight in the air and caught it. “I’ve been practicing and…one of my abilities is super strength.” Daniel said. “Oh. So technically you’re cheating?” Hailey asked. Daniel shrugged. “I guess you could look at it that way. So what’s your ability? I mean you do have one right? This mission would be dangerous if you didn’t. Not that it isn’t already dangerous.” Daniel asked. “I don’t know. Sometimes it seems like animals listen to me. But that could be my imagination right?” Daniel shrugged. “Honestly….I have zero idea and…I generally don’t care.” Just then Marvelo walked into the room. “Okay guys there has been a change in plans. Brutus will go with Peggie, I will go with Camille, Jaron will go with Daniel, and Hailey will go Willow.” Marvelo said. “Why are we switching?” Hailey asked. “One of the team members asked if we could.” Hailey didn’t have to think twice to know who it was. Willow. Willow shot Hailey an evil grin. “Okay everyone needs to come with me. We’re heading to cliffside city by jet.” Marvelo said. Daniel gave Hailey a pitying look like he was sorry that she had to be partnered with Willow.
Moments later all of them were squeezed into a jet except Camille who flew beside the jet.

- The Nazgûl
It was a cold misty morning as Spark walked through the crowded dusty streets. Everyone hustled about to ensure they had enough food for the coming winter. The winter of Ragnarok, the name of the island they lived on, was formidable and could wipe out entire villages if the inhabitants were not prepared. However, this was not a normal village. It is what you would call the capital of the state if the island were one. However, this village is not one of times we live in now. This was before technology. The average man walked had a sword in his house for fighting, but was untrained in using it properly. People walked around in worn clothing, often having to go to the tailor’s, likely the most profitable profession in the town next to being an official. The officials were in charge. However, they did not rule the people, they simply made the best choices to benefit them that they could. Though many of the people of this city would seem poor to us, the people spread abroad on the island of Ragnarok saw this town as the rich peoples’ palace.
As Spark walked through the muddying streets, he approached the Capitol Building. This building was not nearly as impressive as it sounds, rather, it was a few houses joined together to form a large meeting room. It was also one of the few houses of the town to have been upgraded with a wooded roof instead of thatch. For whatever reason, Spark had been summoned. All he had been told was to come quickly and that it was urgent. Spark was thirteen, about six feet tall, though he had stopped growing now, and had brown hair. He could handle a sword better than anyone he knew, and enjoyed strategy.
As Spark entered the Capitol building, he was met with a warm welcome. He was invited to sit down. It was now that the first official spoke, that he found his reason for being here.
“As you all know, I called this meeting because of an urgent problem. It appears one of our soldiers has deserted us and made a fort in the volcano area. He has taken most of the North and is pushing towards the South. He must be stopped as soon as possible, preferably before winter. This soldier goes by the name of Grant. Spark, you have been summoned here because you knew Grant. We trust you and would like you to lead the army against him, as you would be able to fight him best having known him so well.”
Grant? Alive? Spark had not believed Grant was still alive. He could hardly believe he was trying to take control of the ark.
“It’s an honor to be able to lead the army. Would you like me to inform the people, or should I keep it on the downside?”
“We will inform the people. Currently, you have two days to pick your two generals and formulate a plan. By then we must begin preparations.”
“I will get right on it.”
Spark left the building and walked towards the east side of town. He knew exactly who his two generals would be.
Hi everybody! I am Nazgûl. I have decided to write a story here. Seeing as it is mostly empty, I chose here so that it did not get buried as did some of my other works. I hope you all enjoy the story. The story is very long, so in here will only be the first part. Happy to hear any feedback whether it be encouragement or constructive criticism. Excited to be writing!

Chapter 1
The bog is swarming with insects, tapejaras, pterodactyls, spinos and other swamp creatures ext! But what I hate the most is the stupid people in this part of the simulation, that believes we live in an actual world! Sure, I got Hlna on my side, who told me that this is the so called, “genesis simulation”! I don’t remember everything, but I have blank memories of… the island, a desert, Aberration and… earth? My ideas of survival are a bit on the sharp side, since the past days, we’ve been hunted by, ugh, here we go: sarcos, spinos, raptors, random survivors who hate that I call this a simulation, and oh crap! Insect swarm! “Perfect, just as we’re being hunted, well at least i can re-spawn, right?” I say with a slight sarcastic happiness in my voice, “Let’s see how it goes first! Im nog letting you die that easily!” Hlna snarl back, and true, she does help me, sometimes. But most of all, she tells me to keep going until the very end, thus when I die, I’ve played all cards I can! Right now tho… only three cards… fight human that chasing me, fight bog swarm in front of me or die! What now?

Sorry guys. Completely forgot to post. Been busy with school and stuff. I’ll try to be posting but might have to wait a week or two until I have finished out my school year. I also am still planning the next few chapters and am still trying to figure out exactly what they are about and how long they are. Sorry for the delay. I’ll try to post soon.

The Fight for Freedom: Part 1; Chapter 2
- The Nazgûl
As Spark walked toward the tavern, he watched the townsfolk. He felt pity towards them. None of them had ever fought before. Soon, they would all be sucked in to the war that was about to come. It reminded him of when he was a little boy, lost and alone with no idea how cruel the world was. He didn’t want to be reminded of those times.
He arrived at the tavern and had to squeeze his way through a large crowd. It was more of what we would call a coffee shop, but as they served drinks other than coffee, and had no earthly idea of what coffee was, they called it a tavern. Two men were sitting on opposite sides of a table. One, Orion, was challenging the other, Caleb, to a game. They had no name for this game, but everyone knew how to play it. It was a strategy game that tended to take a couple hours. Caleb had always been good, mostly because Spark thought him. Behind Caleb was Cole. These two he planned on having be his generals. As he squeezed through the thick crowd of spectators, he caught a glimpse of the board. Upon arriving at the table, he stared at the board for a few seconds. Everyone was silent as they listened for what Spark had to say. After about thirty seconds, Spark turned towards the counter. As he passed Caleb, he patted him on the back and said for the purpose of all to hear, “Nice work buddy, you got him pinned.” He could tell that everyone was quite confused as Caleb was quite clearly surrounded. Spark went and ordered a drink. He took a mix of berry juices. He never really had supported alcohol since he was a child, so he just ordered juice most of the time. After he put in his order, he asked the bartender to ask everyone to head out once the game was over. The bartender nodded and made Spark his drink. As he set it down, the crowd cheered and there was thunderous applause. Spark smiled. He knew Caleb had won.
“Everyone out!” The bartender yelled.
“Caleb, Cole, come over here.” Spark said. They came running over.
“Nice work on the win Caleb. Now, I have some disturbing news. Grant is amassing an army and plans to overrun the whole island.”
“No way! You mean the same Grant that we were buddies with just a year or so ago?” Cole asked.
“Yes. I have been put in charge and I need you two to be my generals. I can’t say much now, but meet me at my hut later and I’ll run over the whole plan with you. First, you guys need to go tell the council that you are my generals and they should announce that we are going to war so everyone can prepare.”
They both nodded and ran off confidently. Spark wished he was that confident. He hadn’t the slightest idea how they would beat Grant. Then he realized. He would use the same tactics that he knew Caleb had used to beat Orion. Grant wouldn’t stand a chance.
