This needs updated with the mutton and the cooked lamb chops. The mutton doesn't even lose a level compared to the kibble and even the lamb chops only loses 2 levels on a 150 tame so that's gonna be the easiest way to go without losing much efficiency.

My favorite way to get chitin and by far the best way I've found is fly over the swamp and just hover near land for a while and all nearby leeches will gather under you, then hop on your frog(no pun intended)and sweep the little buggers to extinction

There are many was to tame. You can walk sideways while shooting with tranqs or you can just use a bola and club. People are saying never tame in swamp it’s not about biome it’s about location, try to lead the frog to somewhere safe, usually on the edge.
