Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a basilisk? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a basilisk.
Taming is easy on fjorder. Take any crappy rock drake eggs that you got from the nest in that realm that’s name I forget. Take a flying tame and fly to the volcano island and find one. Fly over it and drop the egg. Agro it a bring it above the ground, then fly up. Then the basilisk will agro to the egg and eat it. Repeat until tamed.
The Reaper King
When you tame this creature you should use a bloodstalker and magmasaur eggs and a jerboa stuck under a metal foundation.
Trapping this creature does not work on official genesis. You will have to find a wall or overhang to grapple onto above the aggro basi and drop eggs down to them. This is the only method that has worked for me on genesis.
THIS APP IS ACTUALLY TELLING YOU THE TAMING AMOUNT FOR IF IT BURIES!! If you trap it and make it not attack anything you can just throw eggs and it will eat them without attacking you. It said I’d need 3 and I only needed 2!
Feeding interval 4 mins 10 sec. Fix it
Do not hit the snake while luring it over to be tamed. Seems like they lose effectiveness if it takes damage at all, even if it’s before it eats its first egg.
You Can use either fertilized Magmasaur or Rock Drake eggs. Magmasaurs are breedable, so you can use the eggs they drop from breeding, as long as they are fertilized.
On Genesis, not sure about Abb, the Basilisk will not eat it’s first egg until it’s health is totally full. If it has taken heavy damage, it will make you wait to tame it. You can check the health and stats of the Basilisk on Genesis by holding the map button down while targeting the animal. Once it’s health is full, drop one egg at a time. Had one basilisk refuse to eat any eggs because there was more than one present, and it got glitchy. If you are using 4high walls with foundations in the middle and ramps on the side as a trap, and it’s inside the trap and cannot burrow, there is no need to keep it angry. It’ll just sit there, staring at its first egg until it’s healed, hungry, or until the AI targets it. It’ll become suddenly agressive when it’s hungry, then it’ll eat the egg. Now drop another. It’ll eat when hungry
I will like a tek saddle for a basilisk
What map is the basilisk found on and what terrain is it in pls reply because I want one leave a up if you want to know
I am reading this and I am hearing a lot of complaints. Btw these things are fun to use
On the lost island map you can also use fertilized wyvern eggs to tame. I tried it with ice wyvern eggs and the taming bar went up, I think it works with every kind of wyvern egg. Up for more people to see!
Quick tip: do NOT try to trap it with the birdcage trap method. It can just burrow under the trap and escape (I watched a vid that said this, but I haven’t tested since I’m too scared to play lost island.) also, does it eat anything besides le eggs upon tamed? Pls lemme know ^^
Get a rock drake, wyvern, tek wyvern, magmasaur egg farm or use low level eggs
These guys need to be above ground and not attacking you, so what I did was I led it to a wild dino that couldn't kill it, waited for them to get into a fight, throw desired taming egg near the battle, wait for it to eat the egg, and repeat until tamed. BOOM! Awesome tamed basilisk😎
Great it eats tek wyvren eggs now…
Easy tame - zip line, tanky ravager, handful of hazard helmets. Aggro, have line already placed at angle so you can adjust elevation above the basilisk. Jump on line near basilisk while he is biting, and inch up just until the bite barely stops reaching you. If you do this right and don’t put too much distance between you and snake he will keep biting and missing, and will not fire the gas and will stay there the entire tame while you drop eggs (FROM YOUR PERSONAL INVENTORY NOT YOUR TAME). Basically you’re staying between his two attack ranges. As long as no wild critters aggro him away you will get perfect tame. In an ideal world have a partner maintain a perimeter clear of wild dinos.
Takes 4 minutes and 10 seconds between eggs
You can not knock out a basilisk and they’re very hard to fine when they’re underground
Bring it to a safe area or a cage to feed.
Try and line up the eggs and kill everything else around will make it easier tame
