Big snake please stay far away unless you have drakes eggs to tame it by dropping them near it and waiting for them to eat the eggs

You can use VOIDWYRM eggs to tame a Basilisk if you are on Gen 2.

Guys you can tame basilisks with void wyrms eggs

BTW you can use voidwrym eggs from gen 2 for these guys

I also tested that if you try to tame a Level 100 Basilisk you just only need 5 or 6 Rock Drake eggs.

I wish you can tame them with crystal wyvern eggs.

You are un able to tame these on crystal isles because of the lack of rock drakes right now

Trap suggestion: what my tribe and Inalways do is setup a permanent trap to leave unlocked for anyone to use. We place a behemoth gate and then regular dino gates to make a half circle from one side of the behemoth to the other kinda like this —> ID the I being the behemoth and the D being the dino gates. Kite it in through the behemoth, shut it and make sure all the dino gates are open on atleast one side. Toss your eggs in and stand BARELY outside of bite range. This will keep it constantly aggrod. Then you literally just stand there the entire time it’s taming. Now and then if you choose to step in to look at the taming bar feel free and go back outside of its bite radius again once done.

Getting Green Gem for the Basilisk’s saddle is probably a hard task

For a trap place a singular metal platform and put a lightpet or dodo underneath and put the eggs on top of the platform. The basilisk will target the lightpet and can't burrow since it will be on the platform. Just don't take the basilisk aggro off the lightpet and you'll be fine.

Best way by far is to put a zip line angled above it with a couple masks and a good health ravager, agro and walk up the zip line until he barely stops biting you, which will still be close enough that he doesn’t use the poison. Eggs seem to be picked up every 4 minutes or so as of yesterday.

It appears there is no set amount of time between when it will eat, from my several times it seems to stick just over 4 minutes though

Make sure to kill everything in the area before trying to tame it. If it eats an egg and attacks a stego or something that fights back it'll lose efficiency, just like any other tame. Once you start the process don't let it take any damage.

Lvl 85 took 4 eggs during 2x. Eats them roughly every 4 mins 30 seconds. But must keep aggro or you loose effenciy from what I could see

You must take it by feeding it rock drake eggs. Drop them near the basilisk, and run so it doesn’t aggrieved on you. Soon it will eat the egg. Repeat, and you will have a snaky boi

To easily tame, get a Drake. Collect rock Drake eggs. Find a basilisk. Put down a bulbdog away from the Basilisk, then put a foundation over the bulbdog. Put a bunch of eggs on the foundation. Go aggro Basilisk by dismounting then remounting Drake. Run past foundation and Basilisk will aggro on bulbdog. Won't be able to kill it. Will attack until it tames. If you need more eggs, throw them from your inventory while on the Drake. Just walk right up. Super easy and doesn't take up real estate and you can tame where you need to.

Can be trapped with stone dino gates. Place 3 and then the 4th once it's inside. DO NOT LET IT BURY UNDERGROUND AFTER FEEDING ONCE! Doing so messes up the taming. Stay close to keep aggro. Throw Rock Drake eggs 2 or 3 at a time and continue to do so until it eats them and is tamed.

Takes only 4 drake eggs on 2x ps4 for a 110 ....

So use your rock drake cloak it and get off your mount after dropping the egg from YOUR INVENTORY. After this repeat the process in correct intervals. If. It agros you get out of its range but stay within render range to see if it tames

while on back of drake because they dont argro this build a square pin out of dining gate just large enough to box in its burro build it 2 high once done step inside super quick tease it and close gate then go to side it's not facing open gate throw egg and shut it fast reap eat till tamed if done correctly you should have no problems just a few bites but should be fine if you closed door quick enough
