If you don’t want to die follow these easy steps in any order
1:Use poison blob attack on your basilisk to give strength buff then dismount for strength buff
2:use basilisk bury ability then go into water it will make your basilisk get the zoomies and get a speed buff
3: they are very easy to tame and are beginner tames so just start off your adventure in balheimer or portal depending which map your on

What have you done?
By some miracle I tamed one obce, now I can't tame another. Whenever I try my Basilisk knocks me off my saddle, coils around me, and proceeds to taunt the wild Basilisk.
As soon as it erupts from the ground my Basilisk lays his neck on my head, as if to say, "My human." And he won't let me out of that position until the other Basilisk is gone.
I think it started after I told him I needed to find him a girlfriend
