These guys are everywhere in Crystal Isles! I’ve found them in the desert, floating islands and that’s about it but loads spawn.

if you bury it while riding and burrow under an enemy player it gives quick torpidity and they will pass out.

It does not and I repeat DOES NOT get affected by any bear trap, lost my shinehorn.

Great creature. Remember to wear a hazard suit when using the poison attack or you may get hit with it.

You cant make a saddle whilst you are playing on genesis

no not all eggs work for taming. Void wyrm eggs worked best for me

Watch out in volcano biome on genesis these oversized drugged titanoboas will kill you while you’re trying to complete a hunting mission just by following the tracks, I think it’s because I’m on a rock drake though

Got an extremely high melee damage to star off with only having 4 points in food with the remainder in melee, this made this thing the ultimate knockout Mount.

Easiest way is to throw you glow pet on the ground then place a foundation on top of it then you throw down the eggs and lead the basilisk to the foundation and it will sit there trying to eat the glow pet and will eat the eggs in the process and tame very easily

I used a crab since they dont seem to aggro to them. Just dropped the egg near it, hopped off for a second and back on the crab again to get it out of the ground and it slithered around till it was hungry enough to eat the egg. Kill everything around it aswell

You CAN use Wyvern eggs (tested with Fertelized Fire Wyvern eggs) and I play single player with the taming rate boosted to 2x, but one eggs gave 77% taming done. Another thing is to KEEP IT ON AGGRO, if it buries (which it will once it loses aggro or shortly after) it will start to lose taming progress slowly. Recommended dino is a Desmodus or Griffin, stay low, and dodge attacks, all the while keeping it right on top of the egg. This worked on my PS4 edition.

When tamed it can breathe underwater and swim, but it is kind of slow.

While you're underground it uses oxygen AND staimina, level both to stay down longer!

Just a fun little detail, the basilisk doesn't need to breathe. At all. Fun water mount to mess around with (can't use use special attacks underwater though)

Super easy on Gen 2!! Hover above them, keep aggro, drop void wyrm eggs every 4mins. Takes 1 extra egg than what Dodoex says! Great carry weight, good for knocking out other times, travel in style!

Don’t let the basilisk burrow or you will lose taming effectiveness

The Basilisk Can Now Be Tamed With Fertilized Magmasaur Eggs in The Volcanic Biome on Genesis and Here’s a Tip if Your New To Taming a Basilisk, I Majorly Recommend That You Build a Big Enough Trap And Place Foundations on The Ground or They Will Borrow and Lose There Taming Efficiency and The Magmasaur Eggs Have To Be Dropped By Your Character Inventory Not Your Dinosaur Inventory or it Won’t Count, Good Luck Survivors!

Do Not I repeat DO NOT code yourself the fertilized eggs! It will not drop and you will probably end up just force taming the Basilisk… Hope this helps!

Best most current taming tip, gather low lvl magmasaur and or rock drake eggs, put in player inventory, clear area around basilisk and or kite to a safe place and hover 1 dinosaur gate above it with an owl. Basilisk stays aggroed, not in horizontal range of uts poison spit attack, no building needed, drop fert drake eggs down and afk. Tame 10 event basilisk on crystal isles that way. Beautiful colors. Lvl 95 to 150s. Used a high lvl and high armor gasbag and saddle perched just right in volcano area on a rock piece where basilisk aggroed but couldn't poison spit me. Afk tamed multiple in same spot.

One killed me and my 10 bulbdogs at portal. Watch out.

Tek helmet helps tremendously when trying to spot them in thick brush. I have also found them in walls with this.
