I’ve always viewed the baryonyx as a far more agile and flexible alternative to the carnotaurus. The prime use that I have the baryonyx for disposal is cave spelunking (specifically at the lava cave). Their ability to jump, instantly harvest corpses after kills, and semi-decent health make for a quick take-artifact-and-leave mission. Unfortunately, I have lost many lives within that cave for my experiments and chitin trips. There are some stories that will be posted soon in the story section.

very easy to tame its good for travelling and caves and can take a rex. I use my baryonx everywhere and never have to fear anything. its also a very good water mount since it can deal with ALMOST everything.

For the Lava Cave:

Bary is better than wolf due to it’s jumping pattern being longer and more predicable

These guys are super fast, so put some upgrades to weight and speed

These guys are great in caves. They destroy everything.

It's relatively small, has a decent hp and a good damage output for its size, it's fast in and out of water and you can shoot from his back. Ideal caving dino in my opinion.

It says you can't carry it with an argy but it's not true I carried one with my argy

The Baryonyx is perfect for the Upper South Cave. Because of it's height, it can easily gnaw on every bat / critter that comes your way. You can use it to go all the way to the ruin room, and then either use the Baryonyx to swim through the water passages, or just grapple through the gap in the wall (Check wiki for the gap location). Only eats fish meat like for more

(mobile) Best cave runner you can get. There are few stronger or faster choices and none are as versatile/easy to tame as the bary. Stuns most creatures when doing a spin in water(swipe up) and heals incredibly fast when killing fish. Also, force-feeding fish meat restores some 7.5 health for bary when force-feeding normal meat restores only 5 for other carnivores but it doesn't really matter. It takes minutes of non-stop clicking to restore your tame's health on high lvs if it gets below half health, but with a bary, you simply find a bunch of fish and kill them. You don't even need to eat them. The bary restores some of its health immediately when killing a fish. When traveling, keep swiping up to jump repeatedly and get a speed that's even faster than running.

Some one tell me what the new attack does its were he sees fowerd and acts like he or she is eating

These guys are the perfect cave mounts, I've solo'd the swamp cave with one. The only caves i haven't done with them is the ice and water caves, although i can see it being possible in the easy water cave. They're also perfect alpha carno killers because of their stun attack

10/10 cave dino,lots of health and damage in a small and quick package!

If you use this the tail attack on an Ammonite the ability of the Ammonite doesn't activate.

Super easy to tame, but better than a Spino or Rex. Literally faster than a raptor, and swims pretty fast. Unlimited oxygen, super good stamina, stun attack (10 seconds), high damage, great jump, good weight. This thing is INSANE. I’d definitely recommend you keep it in your arsenal. Water base defense especially. Great creature to have on your water platform saddles, as it can stun lock creatures and knock players off their mounts.

They have long range and knock back!

They do extra damage to fish and when killing fish it heals them! Be careful in the lava cave because bats can push u into the lava instantly killing the bary!

Totally worth taming and don’t only spawn in swamps! They spawn along rivers too!

I have a way you can go super fast with these guys all you need to do is run and jump and as soon as you land jump again and just repeat. Btw it doesn't work going up even the slightest uphill but going down a slight down hill you can out run anything.

If you breed baryonyx a bunch you can get insane mutations on Melee my current baryonyx has 2100 melee damage and it can take on a Tek Rex no problem (it was level 74 and my bary is level 141)
