The only things this dino lacks are wings ... there are dinos that best at something, Barry simply good at everything except flying... he is still better flyer than Raptor though.

Can out turn almost every water creature, can outrun almost land creature, can show the punny raptors who is the big bro while can simply out turn the bigger land dinos as well.

If you play mobile and tame a Barry and it runs around killing every fish that it sees go to it and turn of seek fish on low health until all its health regenerates

On mobile, these are able to be carried by Argentavis! I believe they're also affected by Bolas. This is NOT true for PC/Console, only the original ARK Mobile!

Just used my Baryonyx to run the central cave. It did pretty good. Nearly died twice due to megalosaurus and arthros. Gonna run it again with a Carnotaurus to see which one is better

Very good amphibious mount and very fast on land. Funny borzoi face. If you see a majestic alligator horse, give it fresh fish and plenty of narco berries, and gather enough keratin for the saddle and voila! Enjoy bullying sarcos and piranhas with your 360° stun

I tamed one of these bois and they are SERIOUSLY UNDERRATED. Sadly my baryonyx died and now I gotta go get a new one but if you want one go to swamps. P.S. don’t touch cnidarians.. ever, I touched one with my Meg and let’s just say my baryonyx tried to save her.. Pls up for love for Alfred my baryonyx and so noobs like me can see

These things are incredibly good at climbing steep surfaces, they are able to easily walk up and down almost 90° angle slopes like it’s nothing, even scorpions got nothing on these, they are also remarkably fast, being able to outrun stuff like raptors and terror birds, on top of that they can jump much further than most creatures and have very decent health and damage and can heal up almost instantly by killing a few fish, and to make it even better, they aren’t even that hard to tame, the only real downside to them is they only come in very dull colours (they can apparently spawn in red but this is extremely rare and I’ve never seen it happen before) which can make them a bit boring to look at, however this also helps with sneak attacks on other tribes as it makes them very hard to spot, so overall really worth taming if you love to explore a lot and they can also be quite useful in caves

Baryonyxs are very good for exploring caves, I would suggest taming a fairly high leveled one and mainly leveling it's melee damage and health, maybe even breed + mutate it if you have alot of time!

These are by far the best cave creatures on mobile.

They do a lot of damage but only eat fish "that's a bad thing"

Most people use this as a fighting tame, but if you needed one it’s also a good tame for transporting items if you lv up weight, since it can go on water too so you don’t have to slow down on rivers and it can jump too

It’s basically a raptor on land and a little slower than a sarco in water... they are also very strong and powerful!

It’s just perfect, because except for the snow cave, and maybe some of the underwater caves(which i recommend you use a basilo for which is an easy tame with this puppy) you can do every single cave with a high level Baryonyx.

They are just so OP.

If your exploring the central cave and get low hp from all the insects and titanoboas and megalosauruses, you can go to the pond near the artifact and kill a whole swarm of piranhas to regain hp.

Guys this thing is great for land and water cause it is pretty fast on land and it has a stun attack that can only be used in the water. This thing can stun ALPHA megalodons bruh. All around great mount to have. Also it can jump to which is rare for most creatures.

probably best dino fo caves (most) he also has decent dmg and hp but special ability is just insane when you are underwater you can stun everything around you (doesnt work for fishes) but for example sarco the ability last for i think 10 or so sec and they are very easy to tame (sorry for my bad english and i missclicked my last tip)

If you have this boi upgrade the go and stamina and start hunting and bullying some brontos and carboneyms but hey this guy is the easiest way to get prime meat

When going to caves, bring a Baryonyx because they can fit in most caves and they good damage and stuns creatures.

This guy is great for early-ish game. He doesnt take to much trancs and he's super strong. His torpidity is kiterally amazing and hes saved me countless times. Hes super fast and has good stamina and good against other water/swamp creatures. He can also stun enemies underwater
