If you are playing ark mobile or switch the bary did not get his change and you can still pick it up whit an argy and bola it

To the people who say bola does not work ,I tested it and it works on mobile

Baryonyx are not that hard to tame. You can tame it in the Early game for a good travel mount in water and land,it’s also good for getting artifacts.now if you want to tame a Baryonyx your going to need fish or kibble,meat will not work.you don’t really need a longneck rifle, even though it would probably work faster if your looking to get your first artifact then you probably won’t want to wait until the like the mid game to get a Baryonyx.After finding the one you want,make a trap or have a pretty fast mount because Baryonyx’s are very fast. you could also find high ground and if it’s near water i’m pretty sure we all know we should NOT go in the water. after it’s knocked out give it your food of Choice and that’s a Baryonyx for ya.

YOU CAN NOT TRAP THEM WITH SMALL BEAR TRAPS

To all the people saying climb on a rock and shoot it with tranq arrows let me tell you all you need is bola and some tranqs. Then you should be all set.

Bringing a simple raft cage to the swamp should allow you to easily trap and transport this guy to an appropriate area to knockout and tame.

For some reason (bug?) you can’t be damaged while driving the raft, even when this guy is standing on top of you! (PC)

They can still be completely wrecked by the giany squid. Watch yourself, as they are not truly the king of the seas like everyone would have you believe.

You can carry it with argentavis up id you think it is helpful

When taming these guys I recommend a longneck but you can tame with a crossbow. Remember count to five after every shot so the torpor can really sink in. By the way their food drains really fast so taming them will be easy Peasy. The only hard part is that they spawn in the swamp.

Cannot use a bola anymore so either use a stone trap or a bear trap and put ~10 tranq arrows into their skull

I tamed one very easily near my base i had to kill a rex near it but mainly im saying this to let you know 1: Its fairly easy to knock out/tame 2: its torpo goes down slow so you probaly wont need any narcotics but still bring some in case and 3: its an amazing dino for cave of the south in my opinion its just like my raptor by better by x2 lastly 4: **THIS GOES FOR ALL DINO YOU TAME kill any other dinos that might hit your tame or else it will mess up the tame** Thanks for reading my tip byee!!-

Trapping these guys isn't a difficult process. If you don't have the time or resources to make a full trap, just put down one or two bear traps, space them a little bit apart, and get behind them, then aggro the baryonyx you want. It'll run onto them and get stuck, then just take them down! (I have a Mastercraft bow I found in a drop, so only about four or five tranq arrows did the trick.)

You just need a bola and about 10 tranq arrows to tame a low level one!

I know people have said this but you cannot bola them anymore, hopefully this didn’t get yourself killed

U can find them near swamps and I have a beautiful green and black so I named him antisepticeye

What can they do?In my opinion Barys are the best cave dino in the game and very easy to get early game all you need it tranqs and fish meat. You could definitely argue that direwolves are better because of there pack ability, but a bary can hit harder than a rex sometimes. 100% Recommend to go get yourself a bath as fast as you can. How to tame? The baryonx saddle is unlocked at level 49 which by doing note run’s, you can get there fast. They are relatively easy to knock out as well so really all you need is a crossbow and like 30 tranqs. I recommend using a trap on these guys.All you need for the trap is 4 fence foundations a bola or bear trap and four stone walls. Once you get this bary knocked down you want to make sure that you get plenty of fish meat (or prime fish meat for faster tame) because they are pescatarians so they will strictly only eat fish. After the game there saddle can be crafted in a smithy by using the following ingredients. 225 hide, 25 metal ingots and 350 fiber. And that’s my instructions on how to tame a baryonx, hope it helped!

With the ability to go an unlimited amount of time under water this mount is perfect for deep sea diving! 2-4 will make sure you kill anything. Be wary of squids, so long as you have 4 you can still stun him even when he grabs a bary with his tentacle.

To kill just get its attention then run to a local stego or trike and then they kill it unless it moves them into water but easy

Best early to end game dinos in my opinion easy to tame make a trap if you don't have high HP and tranq it untill it falls down get fish meat and feed it to it taming it is not that hard use a few narcotics and some stacks of fish meat and it's yours best metal transport dino if you don't have a argy to fly over water the best for hunting meg's and alpha meg getting a load of pack of these bad boys is a stun spam team

On Mobile, Baryonyx’s torpor drops really fast, so you should probably pump in a little narcotic or bio toxin even if Dododex says you don’t have to just in case. I had a lvl100 taming, and lost it when I went to get some extra bio-toxin from my base on the other side of the map. By lost, I meant it COMPLETELY disappeared.
