On mobile, an Argy can DEFINITELY pick a Baryonyx up. I’ve tamed like seven by picking it up and putting it in a pen with my Argy :)

I dont recommend shooting this guy without a trap cuz it runs fast and since it spawns close in the swamp it May run inside it and he May dissapear in all the water and trees make a 4 by 4 its better if its with rock it dmgs wood and make the ramp with wood if u like too and then Just tranq it out oh and one thing it only eats fish in the taming when its tamed it can eat normal Meat

Just remember that baryonyx can stun u in water

I got a 50 in wild, and leveled HP to 200. With a primitive saddle and proper maneuverability, I knocked out a lv 95 terror bird, a lv 115 terror bird, a lv 100 megatherium, a lv 50 rex, and a lv 60 rex. Absolutely outstanding tame for taming with rider weaponry, can chase down most fleeing tames (did not test with yutyrannus because it sounds like a bad idea). My crossbow has about 180 damage, and it can fit through pillars to trap large carnivores, though it’s agile enough to avoid Dinos and strong enough to take a few hits. (Don’t try with giga, and do not follow other bary into water. They’re scared of yutys I think, and stealing wyvern eggs should not be attempted. May be good for Deinonychus eggs since it can’t be latched onto.)

If your planning on taming a high level, over level 100,

Bring at least 75 or more depending on what level above 100. DO NOT shoot these Dino’s from a rock. Barry’s are fast as heck and they get away easily. You can bola them but they’re gonna break out before you knock it out. If it is a high level like over 100 like I was talking about earlier, make a trap with doorframes and the ramp if you don’t want it to get away.

Easy to tame and very good for a starter tame. Simply bola it and hit it with a club. Be advised if it’s a high level it might break out of bola. These guys need fish meat, they’re picky. Totally worth taming can probably take out a trike, my two level twenties killed four trikes in one go, and I was playing on normal.

What happened to leaf ,first put the bola and go back then shoot it with trank arrow when unconscious give above 100 Raw Meat and soothing balm ,bio toxin,narco berries and have your baryonix

Make sure u can tank attacks as it needts to keep hitting to stay aggrod. Why? It has the attention span of a frickin teaspoon

I was in the big trying to tame one of these it was a lvl 90 it was all going perfect until the stupid kapri came out of frickin no where and grabbed me long story short the kapros need to die

Tip for noobs (Mobile) Get a few bolas A Bat And if u have a pachy use that! Helps with torpor And be careful! They are fast! (Do not Try to take it there is more then 1 near Just in case)

What level do you have to be in ark to craft those arowws

If you see a baryonyx run ofcorse he eat fish but when he sees you he will drop that dite and eat you

Hi. people say you can’t bolla these guys but you can i no on mobal I gust tame a level 300 and I bolla her and then Trank it so you can indeed bolla them I hope this helps and if you don’t believe me try it yourself

Ok heres how i tamed one like 30 mins ago

It was a lvl 8 (i play on single player easy and casual )i put down a large bear trap and shoot it to agro on me and boom it got trapped and then u just trank it out and feed it ,i got the taming glitch at first that pumped up 21% and i had a soothing bam so it was smooth like butter (yes i know i dont knoe how to pronounce)

I am about to go tame a pair to breed. Use an argentavis taming pen with a bear trap in the center with both doors open or use a 2 by 2 pen with walls and ramps on either side then knock out with tranq darts or arrows. Use a sickle for harvesting salmon

You can bola these on mobile even though it doesn’t say in Dododex. I don’t know why

If you are taming a level 150 Baryonyx then u will need

25-30 tranq arrows

How to tame a Baryonyx

You will need: 8 doorframes, 1 foundation, 2 ramps, and about 30 tranq arrows

Build a trap with your foundations, doorframes, and ramps

Lure the Baryonyx into the trap

Shoot the Baryonyx with tranqs until it falls unconscious

Saddle up and ride your Baryonyx

Tip: They are a very good multi terrain creature but they are way better in the water and they don’t have an O2 stat

It’s very fast land and water, it knocks you out so don’t go in the water to much because you can drown if you get knocked out. (Learned from personal experience😁😁😁)

To knock out the Baryoyx, you can use a Bola and tranq arrows. After KO, feed raw fish meat, which works better than raw meat.

When searching, look near swamps and rivers. Do not encounter in the water. They are super fast at swimming. Just Bola it as soon as possible.
