Just use a Bola and some Tranqs/Slingshot stones.

In the island you can find them in beaches and rivers, pick up when theyre in the ground nlt the water! Shoot it with tranq arrows

To tame one, carry it to a taming pen using an argy with lots of stamina. Taming one in the wild is too hard. Use an Ichthyornis and a sickle to get prime fish meat for it.

One of the most underrated dinos on ARK. Easy tame, just aggro let it get out of the water then bola it. Its the ATV of ark. Very underrated. Its fast on land and water. Having megladon problems? Baryonyx it. Stuns them, even in groups, then collects all that prime fish meat!! One of the first dinos I look for when starting.

I was told that they only attack in water but they were wrong! Bring something anything to stun it like a bola. Don’t let them get anywhere close to you and let it all out on the sucker

Take it to upper south cave and murder the ever living fuck out of every single piranha that you can find. It regenerates health just by killing the fishes, and while the piranhas are too small to be affected by the stun effect, the spin attack still has a full 360 AoE. The Baryonyx will effectively cancel out ANY damage dealt by those little pests!

When taming with raw fish, make sure their food bar is almost drained. Bary has a low taming effectiveness percentage increase; they may get full before fully tamed.

Do not get to close to the water while flying sometimes they can hit you off a bird and they have unlimited spin attacks

When breeding and egg pops be very prepared With cooked or raw fish. They won't eat raw or cooked meat. Good luck

Take more kibble than this says. Used 29 on a level 130 and it only went to 48%. App says use 20. Also, took hours to talk.

I havr tamed many of these but if you tame them in the swamp, be careful. Snakes sre everywhere and you should probably have a tame before attempting to tame the baryonyx.

Allow yourself plenty of time whilst breeding, 4 hours and 30 minutes is a long time for a baby stage but these things are greedy and eat every 5 seconds

Taming my first one, It's so easy to knock out, I did it with one Dart and one Arrow! So easy.

Bola it, then its easier yo pick up.

Baryonyx lays eggs, and it's about 1 hour- 1:30 hour hatch but they only eat fish as a baby, juvenile and adolescent too

We tamed a lvl 50 one while it was in the water uncoscious in like 15 mins. Dont know how, but we did.
