I was able to tame one in my first day with trank bow. It did kill me about 5 times but I still got it :) It is first time playing after a long rage quit, I have about 15-20 hours ont he game in total.

I would not recommend using bear traps. They only immobilize it for about thirty seconds. JUST STOP BEING LAZY AND BUILD A TRAP!!!!

Someone said you can't Bola these. I just bola one and knocked it out. I play mobile so it may only work on that platform

Guys u cant tame these guys with regular meat u gotta use fish meat lucky for u if u have a lot of fish meat and u can use that fish meat to tame a BARYONYX they r great swimmers I tamed it and it died to a spino 1 up = 1 rip for barry

This should have a weight reduction for anything fish related

Get at least 5 dilos and shoot it with something and your dilos will do all the work for you

A bunch of fish meat for the tame . If there near the swamp try to lead them out . Great tame . You get 10 fish meat form the commen fish.

On mobile if you get a auto clicker on the jump you can get to a lege and go light speed

If you can, get one of your high HP pets and get it to fall asleep near where you want to tame this bad boy. Lure it over, and when it starts attacking your bait, you've got a bunch of free tranq shots on a stationary target.

MAKE SURE YOUR BAIT HAS A LOT OF HP

Don't listen to everyone stating you only need 5-7 tranq arrows. Bruh depending on the level you'll need more then a small amount. Honestly just in case I recommend 50+ asl long as you're taming high levels and not weak ones that are useless. Baryonyx are fast on land, faster in water. Their tail whip water attack stuns most creatures and if you raise up a baby and fully imprint you've got yourself an absolute land/water beast!

If you're planning on taming one of these guys or wanna hatch one remember they only fish meat, also for taming get around 5-10 tranq arrows and maybe 5 narcotics incase you need them

This creature is a best tame because it can make creatures stunned and good creature for caves i completed south cave with my baryonyx

I now have 5 berys guarding my pvp house boat in mobile they can wipe anything that swims super easy and they are so underrated 4 caves and mine can easy kill rexes when I need 2 the tail spin will nock u off any water dino and sometimes on land they can knock u off a raptor or something similar that being said they are easy 2 ko so be wary about that in pvp otherwise they are pretty much unstable If I have a max imprint currently mine are only lv 150 throu 160 ish and they have killed like 500 mantas and count less meg they will not attack the itchy as long as they don't get to close

These guys are very good bio toxin farmers

Just stay near land for an easy escape if needed

They can kite jellies around while you can shoot them, or can take them down occasionally in melee

These are a pretty good tame and can be easily knocked out with tranq arrows. And that will run at you when you first shoot them but they don’t do a lot of damage. Just keep sooting at it and then soot it one or to times when it starts to run away and then feed it fish meat. And I recommend tameing near water.

You can use a rifle from the back of these guys as well as an argentavis being able to carry them. The best land/water mount in my opinion

Bolas work on them I got a lvl 15 because a bola and they only eat fish

meat and bring 15 narcos I used 10

These say can't be carried. Found out they can be carried by RGs. I play on the switch.
