What are tips for baryonyx? Tips and strategies for baryonyx in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Be careful of ther stun attack if you get stuned in the water your dead
Stay away from this guys they can stan you underwater i lost my lvl 88 carno
they are pretty easy to knockout just dont go to the water with them they can stun you there, build a trap dont try to shoot it and run they are very fast in land, build a trap first, shoot it run to the trap, your trap must have a door frame so you can get out they cant fit through it just start shooting it with tranq arrow or dart feed them raw fish meat if you want it faster feed it prime fish meat or pachy kibble
Also it seems an easy tame because you can use bola on it
Easy taming just go to a cliff and shoot tranq arrows at it
This creature always spawns in South zone 1 if you see it just run
OK
Im only a level 22 i tamed a level 50 with bola and tranq arrow easy low level tame i trued to tame a higher level but it didnt work lower levels are easy tames tame one when u are lower to level it up and eventually get a saddle
So this is basically a cheap spino.
I once had a female which I named Lola (im on mobile) she is awesome I killed Rexes and sarcos and brontos but A RAPTOR level 1 caught me and for a strange reason the neutral whistle didn’t work so yea I saw:
You got killed by raptor lv 1
After that incident I bred Lola with another Barry to get a super baby. Then I encountered a raptor again and I just ran/bite through it without it even pouncing ???? My Barry is way too fast
So I went on rampage
1.make a trap made out of wood or stone wall( you can bola them to)
2. Use tranquilizers arrow or just bola
3. Tame it raw fish meat and narcotics if the taming process is too long.
4. Unlock the saddle at level 49 and with 24 engram point).
5. Enjoy your time with baryonx( they have the stun ability in water).
You can bola in mobile I did it
These tiny bipedal spino wannabes are actually pretty good tames if you are not ready to get a spino. Unlike the spino they are pretty much a guaranteed tame once it’s knocked out since it’s torpor drains slowly, unless it gets killed. Don’t make the same mistake I did when taming these they eat exclusively fish, regular meat won’t work. This also applies to already tamed ones, if you feed it raw meat instead of raw fish meat, it will refuse to eat it. What I like to do since I don’t have access to spino saddles for like another 20 levels, is just to ride my bary and get my spino to follow me around, and make it target ennemis, this works out surprisingly well and I can always get my bary in to help if something goes wrong
I was taming a lvl 130.i was lvl 50 with 300 health.i tried bringing it into pen but failed twice.so I risked it .just stood there shooting it in the face and it barely reduced my health.pachyrhino kibble gave 12% taming without soothing balm.with minor (3x) balm prime fish 6%, fish meat 2%.
Baryonyx is a great tame for caves, but learn from my mistakes. A wild-tamed baryonyx will do the job for the first couple caves, but it can get pretty dicey after that. My advice: Breed two Baryonyx together and imprint the baby. Imprinting grants an increase to stats. When riding your imprinted dino, you also recieve a buff that gives your dino +35% damage resistance and +25% damage output. It doesn't sound like much, but it is an absolute game changer.
Try it out for yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. =)
Keep out of water and kill it with a pike or knife or a bow
If your caving with these guys or doing something dangerous, make sure you have fish meat they heal at the speed of doing with that stuff where in areas regular meet does almost nothing.
Very useful, however, do not let it fall in the water overseas. Same with sarcos. My friend had two sarcos... they BOTH died to cnidaria, and my other friends Baryonyx died to three megs.. R.I.P british, she killed two...
