What are tips for baryonyx? Tips and strategies for baryonyx in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
they only eat fish when tamed. Mine lost almost all his hunger before i figured this out.
Just an update I did move to Herbivore Island so I don’t need to worry about dying as much -The Lonely Surviver
If u see one doNOT go into water, it swims toward and smack ur @$$ of ur mount, and ur just so shocked u can’t move for a sec, then it DOES IT AGAIN HELPPPPP!!!
This Dino only eats fish meat so make sure to have some when taming this dino also Bolas don't work on this Dino
One of the best Dino’s in the game. Especially because they are good on land and water and easy to tame if you know what you’re doing they only eat fish tho but once you have one you are basically god. They are good for also taming Rex’s and Carnos and spinos since you can shoot from their back with a crossbow.
They only eat fish (keep in mind when taming(
Baryonix Survival Evolved
Hi hello and howdy! Im a console player here to make the ultimate survival and other tips. Now I have a 98 lvl baryonix. Here’s how I tamed him:
Remember: They CAN breath underwater.
Knockout: (Bola don’t work :)) I play genesis 2 so I would just fly in the air shooting tranq arrows like a noob but do find a high place and shoot. When it runs just go run at it shooting. I tamed mine underwater when I didn’t know it was a water Dino.
Use (for taming food): Raw fish meat, and raw prime fish meat (personally these are way better so you can keep track of the bary)
Fight off any Dino’s who would kill your sleeping bary
Wait all the time giving it food and any narcotics and berries.
I would say their torpidity for taming is in the middle of fast and slow
Name ideas!: name them after present day water rocks based on their color! (Mine was red so I named it after a coral)
Tysm for reading and sorry this was long
Me (lvl 20 something) and my raptor (lvl 40) encountered a baryonyx (lvl 5) I saw it quite often ( although a fair distance from my base) so decided to attempt to tame it, it was in the water so I went in to take a look, next thing I know, it was charging towards me, I tried climbing onto my raptor but was stunned and I died, I spawned back at base and assumed my raptor would die, I ran back to get my stuff and there, in the water, was my raptor, alive, I quickly got my stuff and climbed on his back and ran off, what a legend. I am now sat here waiting for that baryonyx to finish taming! What an eventful day! And Ofc he will be called Barry 😂
Absolutely DO NOT Go Near These Things. Their EXTREMELY Fast, One Second Everything Is Fine, Next Second, There's A Demon Monster Breathing Down Your Neck. Like So Noobs Like Me Can See This.
Baryonyx are very useful in many ways!
U can stun anything in water and kill dangerous Dino’s
when u stun them!
They are also the best cave mount in the game!
They have long range and knock back!
They do extra damage to fish and when killing fish it heals them! Be careful in the lava cave because bats can push u into the lava instantly killing the bary!
Totally worth taming and don’t only spawn in swamps! They spawn along rivers too!
Super easy to tame, but better than a Spino or Rex. Literally faster than a raptor, and swims pretty fast. Unlimited oxygen, super good stamina, stun attack (10 seconds), high damage, great jump, good weight. This thing is INSANE. I’d definitely recommend you keep it in your arsenal. Water base defense especially. Great creature to have on your water platform saddles, as it can stun lock creatures and knock players off their mounts.
For the love of god, do not fight them in water! A level 4 baryonx nearly killed my Theri because the baryonx had stunned him. No matter how shallow the water is, do not even think about fighting one. They can stun you and knock you off your creature.
Bola to the rescue!!
After that run or tame...you decide.
This is like an earlier tame of the spino. It's incredibly fast, but can be bola'd and tranqed easily if you're smart about it. Keep in mind that it only eats fish meat (before AND AFTER being tamed) so keep it stocked on that. You can also pick it up with an argentavis despite it looking humorously impossible. Besides that you can do the rest :)
these are one of my favorite cave animals as the fit in most caves,do high damage, have good health, and are excellent swimmers. to tame just tame like any other dino amd knock it out with some tranq arrows, feed it some fish meat, and craft a saddke and then Voila, you now have one of the best caving dino!
