This is the best creature to tame for caves

Use a simple 2*1 trap with 1 high doorframes and a ramp to easily tame I tamed one with thatch as it focused on destroying the doorframe instead of trying to attack me but this only works with really low levels if medium use stone

It’s not hard to tame and can be tamed easily at lvl 30

These can be found near swamp areas so lure it out and into trap FAR AWAY FROM SWAMP

Or it’ll be killed by twenty million sarcos and kapros

Tame using prime fish meat which can be obtained by killing megladons and harvesting with metal pick

Got attacked on my raft. A dodo was on it but still it tried to kill me. Il ran away while it was destroying the raft

I got one near a river where I was planning to tame a spino but I saw the baryonyx and then decided to tame him since the spino was gone now I realized how worthy taming him was so If you decide to tame one go with your crossbow and atleast 10 tranc arrows and 20 fish meat and you won't regret it.

These guys are super fast, so put some upgrades to weight and speed

They are very common in the rivers of the southern islets. Beware, they are fast.

These can spawn in rivers if your wanting a more likely chance to find some go to the swamp these are not really common to spawn in rivers I played ark for a long time and i have not seen a lot of these in rivers a lot of times

It says you can't carry it with an argy but it's not true I carried one with my argy

Just so u know on Crystal Isles u can find Aberrant Baryonyx in Eldtrich Isle located in the Northeast part of the map

Addition to my tip, I forgot to say that I play Mobile on Brutal difficulty that's why so many tranqs XD it slipped my mind. Dododex doesn't let you edit tips so had to make another. Sorry for confusion guys.

I have a level 37 of these guy called poison and i unlocked my first artifact with him.So i thout we fould take on the chitin cave but when we got there, he was srheded by all the bugs in there.So after we finised the battle we ran out of that cave.so i recommend a very high level Baryonyx to battle the chitin cave ()@>÷&=/_+>

These guys are great in caves. They destroy everything.

It's relatively small, has a decent hp and a good damage output for its size, it's fast in and out of water and you can shoot from his back. Ideal caving dino in my opinion.

The Baryonyx is perfect for the Upper South Cave. Because of it's height, it can easily gnaw on every bat / critter that comes your way. You can use it to go all the way to the ruin room, and then either use the Baryonyx to swim through the water passages, or just grapple through the gap in the wall (Check wiki for the gap location). (mobile) Best cave runner you can get. There are few stronger or faster choices and none are as versatile/easy to tame as the bary. Stuns most creatures when doing a spin in water(swipe up) and heals incredibly fast when killing fish. Also, force-feeding fish meat restores some 7.5 health for bary when force-feeding normal meat restores only 5 for other carnivores but it doesn't really matter. It takes minutes of non-stop clicking to restore your tame's health on high lvs if it gets below half health, but with a bary, you simply find a bunch of fish and kill them. You don't even need to eat them. The bary restores some of its health immediately when killing a fish. When traveling, keep swiping up to jump repeatedly and get a speed that's even faster than running.

Some one tell me what the new attack does its were he sees fowerd and acts like he or she is eating

How to tame a baryonyx!

1. Find a baryonyx (they’re found near and in swaps)

2. Make a trap/make bolas (you could also use an argy to take the bary to a trap or somewhere else more safer)

3. Trap or bola the baryonyx

4. Knock it out! (I used my bow with 353 damage and I used about 20 tranq arrows on a 270 baryonyx)

5. Use a smoothing balm if you want I’ll make the process faster! ( you can get smoothing balms by running caves and turning in the artifact!)

6. Feed the bary prime fish meat! ( get a sickle and kill a lot of sabertooth salmons and harvest them with the sickle!)

7. Wait for your new baryonyx to tame!
