To clone, use a skiff and pick it, then “push” in into the bottom of the cloning chamber to get it clone.

These things are literal all terrain spaceships

This creatures level doesn’t matter a lot in pve or single player since all of its utility comes from a tek saddle that can be used with element and grenades. In pvp you will want a high level and I have found a lot of these saddles in white drops. You also can no longer use it without the blueprint learnt at level 120 for the player. Was using for getting meat and killing alphas but since the damage nerf today they do roughly a quarter of previous damage. Sad times.

Tamed a lvl 15, full trough when i logged off, 6 hrs later Empty trough and it had starved to death. Not sure if that food consumption is intended or just bugged... Cryo it, trust me

Note about stats! When these have a saddle and element, their stamina and melee stat are completely irrelevant as they do not use stamina when in jet mode, and melee does not increase laser damage

If you find the Starwing saddle DO NOT EQUIP IT if you don't have the engram learned. This causes the food to bug and your tame will die of starvation. If you remove it, you can force feed it meat to fill the hunger meter and you should be fine.

You can complete starwing strike alpha, by simply leaving your controls alone and being afk.

For those on console (don't know if it works on PC) if you are having trouble with the cross-hairs tilting to the middle right in the starfighter mode and is doing the same on GEN2 Mission StarDolfin here is how to fix it, jump in the space dolfin and go into settings, then click on HIGH DETAIL (should fix it) while in the starfighter mode or play with the UI Scale settings.

Never bite with this creature as it will drain its stamina FAST

To prevent them from wandering off randomly, whistle Stop One while mating is disabled. Then you can ride them around to position them for breeding, and once they're lined up you can enable mating and they'll stay put. To move a male between groups of females, just disable mating, whistle Stop One, ride it into position, and enable mating again. This makes breeding much less tedious than it would be otherwise.

Sometimes this doesn't work, possibly due to proximity to structures or other tames. Reposition and whistle, or cryo to fix.

For babies, pick them up with a maewing and drop them once to get them to stay put.

You can also pick up babies and full growns with a skiff tractor beam and they'll stay where you drop them.

Space dolphins are able to go to the manticore arena on scorched earth and the crystal Wyvern queens arena, you can also shoot at them with lasers and grenades in Star fighter mode

Press left ctrl to enter a jet mode that uses elemnt instead of gas. They can fire homing plasma balls that do high damage(you lock on by holding left click), they fire beams that also do high damage by pressing left click. All attacks scale with melee damage. Press x to do air maneuvers that put tape jars to shame. Press c to do an air donut which you can use to get behind people chasing you. When you hold W and any side key(d or a), you do a short burst. It's faster than a pteranodon, can dive, has more range than turrets and maneuvers like a tapejar. An op creature that shouldn't exist.
