As the former partners tussled, Riker ran down the hall to get to Hazel. “Please don’t be dead please don’t be dead...” she muttered as she fumbled with the door. She pried it open...

I know this isn’t related to the creature too much, but if you are writing multiple part stories in the comments, and say “You might remember me from blah blah blah”, you need to stop. No one knows who you are. Know one cares. Just stop.
