Tamed by petting then feeding element from hot bar

They can be found in between the biomes in the asteroid area

Just when killing one of these remember to use flame arrows because when they take damage they are stunned and flames will stun them every other second

I don’t know who else seen this bug but on boosted servers with increased taming speed it gets to 100% then doesn’t tame. I spent an hour feeding one over 400 element so I had to give up. Try it on your server I’m sure it may work but don’t waste as much element as me 😖

I find it very easy to make a trap with any kind of behemoth gates I did (4). Then find dolphins near by then pull aggro. Hope this idea helps any other hunters. Enjoy!

To get maximum taming effectiveness, pet them from the top or the tail!

Petting them from the underside will cause them to boop you until you feed or pet them again, which sucks!

Sometimes they can even turn hostile or die!

By the way, you have to single out one if they’re in a pod. Feeding or petting one makes the others jealous…

Anyone know why I keep losing effectiveness everytime I feed it element?

Iv noticed food consumption on the Asrodelphis goes down considerably when flying anyone got any tips???

If you want tame it easily, trap it with regular gateways (not the behemoths). I usually place 5

and then lure the Astrodelphis, it's pretty easy. Then i close the entrance with a door. The Astrodelphis won't be able to run away when you pet it so you won't lose % and taming efficiency :) i recommend placing the gates in the tunnels and not outside in the space biome. I hope it helps!

To prevent them from wandering off randomly, whistle Stop One while mating is disabled. Then you can ride them around to position them for breeding, and once they're lined up you can enable mating and they'll stay put. To move a male between groups of females, just disable mating, whistle Stop One, ride it into position, and enable mating again. This makes breeding much less tedious than it would be otherwise.

Sometimes this doesn't work, possibly due to proximity to structures or other tames. Reposition and whistle, or cryo to fix.

For babies, pick them up with a maewing and drop them once to get them to stay put.

You can also pick up babies and full growns with a skiff tractor beam and they'll stay where you drop them.

You just have to grab element from the blue crystals in the space area. Then you make sure no voidwryms are trying to murder you. Then you just hunt it down with a stack of element in your hotbar (I have tamed at least 15 for no reason

LVL 174 5 MIN SUPER EASY TAME NO TRAP! Okay so you gotta be fast, keep on its butt, underbelly or above, pet, pet, feed. Then it runs away, you chase it and repeat! DO NOT GET INFRONT OF IT! It will bonk you away! And do not take too long between pats and feeding otherwise it will call on its friends to kick ur butt !! 5 min later You got yourself a space dolphin!

Space dolphins are able to go to the manticore arena on scorched earth and the crystal Wyvern queens arena, you can also shoot at them with lasers and grenades in Star fighter mode

If you tame during a purple drop you’ll get 100% Taming effectiveness

You can trap a dolphin in the bridges with 3 dino gates with doors on the outside 2 just sit there and spam y no need to worry about those dam wyverns or chase it the world.

(I’m writing this off my own experiences from taming it, hopefully it’ll be helpful to you, the reader!) For taming you need to trap it (most preferably 5 gates in length) it can be very difficult to trap but as long as you get a straight angle you should be fine. They can attack and their attacks have massive knock back (making trapping more difficult). For taming you need to pet it (sometimes more than once) and then feed it element which increases each time you feed it (1, 3, 5 and 10 then it resets back to 1) Make sure you keep petting and feeding since it can loose like 30% if you stop for a short time. Element can be found during purple drops in the blue-ish area. Hope this helps.

I tried to trap tame on and it kept randomly taking damage but not affecting the health and the taming effectiveness kept going down and I kept resetting

I tamed mine by following it constantly even if it attacks you and spamming the feed button but it lost taking effectiveness so this is not 100%

Passive tame you get close it says pet then next time it wanted element in the last spot
