50% effectiveness using catapult

Astrocetus taming is currently a little buggy on xbox official version. They appear to lose 5-10% effectiveness for each piece of kibble they consume. I'm sure this next part is intended, but for every non-torpor inflicting cannon shot the whale loses a chunk of taming effectiveness. My reference is while taming a 100 astrocetus, it came down with 75% effectiveness, and as it ate kibble it eventually dropped to less than 20% effectivenes.

3 tips in one, dodex kibble amount and timer is wrong, takes 7 kibble for a 140, cannon seems to drop effectiveness just the same as mek cannon, roughly 15-20 minutes to tame

Use a Mek to knock out 1 hit KO on anything below 200

If you have a Mek with a cannon attachment it will only take 1 or 2 shells with that

What I done to knock it out is get a platform saddle on a quetzle and mount cannons on the front and just like a titanasaw shoot it over and over again

To get 100% effectiveness go to gen1, find an Astro and kit it to land, right before it runs into you out a behemoth gate and the door for it between you and it so it runs into it, then pop out a mek with the siege cannon module and shoot the top of its head and there you go 100% effectiveness Astro at the cheap price of of a behemoth, mek, M.C.S.M (siege cannon, and some cannon shells

Best way to tame is to use a hover skiff with a cannon on it to get nice and close. No traps needed. But this might not work for all people

When this first introduced I thought it should be huuuge and that you would have to remove like large ticks and other stuff to tame it almost like the pods that you have to do waves to get but to tame it

Use stryder chest cannon it will be an easy knockout

Ok these things as I said in a resent tip are the ark equivalent of a B-52 bomber and if you pair these with rock elementals but more profferably bear sloths you can drop down even more bundles of destruction on your target and if you have enough room you could maybe fit a velonasaur or 2 on to take care of the aerial targets the bear sloths can do it as well I guess but velonasaurs are more officiant at the job so pair these creatures together and you have a great base bomber. If you have a quetzal with platform saddle put a cannon on its back then go to space biome knock it out with cannon and slap some mutton in it. BOOM you’ve got a space whale

Primitive Mek and Cannon attachment will one hit KO any level, but the taming effectiveness will be destroyed. Not sure if this is because of splash damage or if it’s intentional

Can you breed this thing or are they just like rock golems ??

Best strategy is gliding with a rock drake, aggro the whale and get to an asteroid, leave the whale hit the drake, use mek hit on face and let it starve, be sure to hit the whale while gliding or it won't aggro enough to follow you up to the asteroid

On 5x Taming it takes 2 Hits to knock out a 150
