It should have a platform saddle like the same size as the quetz on or something and you can build a cool rocket ship on it!

Did a test tame on a level 95 on official. Not even 40 rockets knocked it out. Shot it in the head, and by head i mean the very front of its face everytime, about 8 seconds between shots to align myself and aim. Didn't KO. The amount of rockets is wrong.

Can be knocked out with a metal cannon but the taming effectiveness is low

You can use a quetzal on genesis part 2 to tame a space whale. So you don’t need to make a tek hoverskiv.

Astrocetus does indeed have a platform albeit very small it is a usable building spot probably for an additional turret or two.

Just grapple to its head and extend the line. It will push you back far enough to fire rockets and not get hit.

Taming glitches? Only went up one level for 2 whales with mutton

Astrocetus' are aggressive and can only be knocked out with either a cannon ball mounted on a skiff or one of those big guns on a mek I believe. Thanks!!! 🪳🪳🪳

Until fixed, every level only requires 7 extraordinary kibble

Tek skiff+ Rock turret= tame space whale

Tamed a level 50 by kiting it to a cannon on a ledge

Can used to raid anyone in the lunar or others

Actually pretty easy to tame/knock out. Slap some cannons on a tek skiff, hit it's head a couple times (hitting other areas won't do torpor damage)and when it is knocked out, simply feed it some extrodinary kibble or meat and BOOM! You have yourself a giant space whale! Now mine some ambergris as ordance and build a tek saddle and you should have a fully functioning B-17 Carpet Bomber with gunner turrets. (You cannot breed them, so be careful!)

Boutta hop on to genesis and knock one out!
