How to tame yourself a bird step by step! (How I tamed my 5 birds)

1: use a fast mount,raptor,terror bird,etc will work

2:shoot it as many times as possible into knocked

3:check the area, a lot of things will attack it, (scorpion, sabertooth,etc.)

4: feed it food of choice (raw prime meat works best)

5: if needed use mount to protect while it’s taming

Wala, you have tamed yourself a bird!

For those who can’t do the trap thing where the Argo eats your body and stuff, you can actually tame one without a trap, the only thing you’ll need is a ranged weapon that can use Trang arrows/ blow darts, and if your far away for it take a bit to ge you, 5ranq it, b7t make sure it is still agro on you, until it’s knocked out. Pretty easy, I just did it and I’m waiting for it to be tamed!

I just tamed one in the dead island

That's was easy

1-get some kibbles or meat and a tapejara or ptera

2-go to dead island with a trap (5 stone dino gateway +2 dino gates)

3-go to the little island in the south of dead island (its not very dangerous)

4-build your trap

5-clean the around area

6-get the attention of one argy (while on feet)

7-go inside the trap

8-get out and place the gate

9-knock him with tranq arrow or dart

10-feed it and wait

11-run away from this hell

This is how to tame an argy.

1. dont be afraid: if you are a level 45 with a tribe, don’t worry! You’ll be able to knock it out with a crossbow and some tranqs (depending on the level)

2. They don’t do too much damage: me and my friend went to tame one, a level 14, and didn’t have too much trouble. We got own to like 250 hp, so yea

3. Knocking them out is easy: just get a crossbow, and shoot it with tranqs

4. Put LOTS of meat in its inventory: 120 raw meat should be good for a level 30 (put narcs and prime meat in too)

I was up near north zone when I spotted the level 20 Argy I named target. Super easy knockout method: I used 5 tranq darts for mine, but 14 tranq arrows work just fine if you don’t miss. I would hit it, hop on my dino, run away and get off and shoot it again and repeat until unconscious. You could outrun it, but I recommend a quite swift dino to use. Not the most op in the wild, but definitely one of my more useful creatures.

although people say you need the gates to trap them u don’t need to trap them if the argy has low level torpor my argy has 700 torpor and I got with crossbow and tranq arrows

Argies are very hard to tame. Use spikes and lure into a safe place near redwoods.

For scorched earth keep refrigerator next to or inside your taming cage and then you can load it full of prime and starve tame the argy for a better taming bonus.

Go to mountains to find Athens and be sure to have armor and lots of tranqs in a crossbow or better

Best way to tame an argie is to have a taming cage on your raft. You build it by making a two foundation alley with ceiling, doorframes, and two Dino gates. Lead the argie with you pteronadon. Once lined up, you need to close the second Dino gate once the argie entered the first gate. Then go around and close the first Dino gate. Then you traq it through the doorframes. Once knocked out, you are free from any wild Dino's since you are in the middle of the ocean.

Once you find one, use a pternodon to attack it and get it to follow you to a beach. It flys really slow so when you get to the beach, jump off your pternodon and tranq it about 2 times in the head. Since it is a flying dinosaur it takes 3 times more damage and torpor from arrows. Try not to kill it on accident!!

BEST TRAP!!!!!!

1. Build 4-5 dinosaur gateways and 2 doors

2. Go to Argy spawn and find a flat area (snow, mountains)

3. Get narc arrows or tranq darts

4.find and shoot argy with low power weapon (not in the head)

5. Place walls so you can run through but not too wide then place one door on one end

6. After shooting run into trap, after argy in the trap have tribe mate or you place a door on other end then run through crack in between gateways

7. Tranq, tame and enjoy your new argy by killing everything on the mountain

I usually like to craft three stone dino doors and two dino gates, and place the gates on either side. Fly a pteranodon through the gap and close the other gate. I knock it out with a crossbow and tranq arrows. Feed it raw meat and some narcotics and boom, you have an argentavis. Hope this helps!
