Drag corpses to it if you want to tame it but it’s low health. They heal ridiculously fast when eating corpses.

Mobile Argy Taming Guide:

Step 1. Go to the top of the volcano and start to make a trap out of either; 3 stone dino gates + 2 reinforced/normal dino doors

Step 2. Get a pteranodon + saddle and find ur argy, attack the argy so that it will follow you (argys have bad following distance to u may need to attack more then once) once its followed tou to top of volcano lead it into you trap, once in close the gates and get a good distance away from it so it dosent attack.

Step 3. Make a tiny box house place a bed or sleeping bag into it and sleep, after u wake up start to tranq the argy, when asleep the argy will have no food in so put ur meat inside the argy and it shouldnt take a while to tame, once done u have ur very own argy!

Extra Tip. If u get a breeding pair breed them at the top of the volcano since it will only require 1-3 torchesto incubate, once fully grown the original female will be ready to mate again!

It’s really easy to tame these early game even if you can’t ride them yet, I’ve had them as a air defense for a bit, just make a 2x2 or 3x3, bottom walls are actually doorways and top ones are actual walls and don’t forget the roof, leave one wall completely open and have a friend or yourself shoot the argy with a tranq and run in and block off the wall, they’ll damage the walls but won’t break, I’ve done this with a 145 argy

There is no point to have a trap have a pt and shoot it fly away make it follow you then shot it again then repeat

Everything in ARK that should be straightforward seems to always mess up. Can anyone confirm that the Captain Fatdog trap absolutely, 100% works? I’m planning to head up northwest, set up the cheap trap on the beach, and kite an Argy into it from the snow.

If you on ark mobile use you ancient amber to buy soothing balms they are the only reason why I have one and it is super worth it

I was so lucky with taming me first one, as soon as it was close to being knocked out it flew away and I ran out of darts, it glitched into a wall and I was able to punch it unconscious lol 🤣

Found one at the base of the mountain, lured it to the top with my pteranadon so it wouldn't get eaten by other predators. Some tranq darts and raw meat and was good to go

To be honest everyone’s talking about using Dino gateways to capture dinos but I never have used them. What I use is 10 pillars making a sort of u same and then stacking the rest on. I then add a ceiling to the middle pillar. I get a Argentavis to chase me and I run through the structure. Once the Argentavis is in structure, I place a stone fence behind it trapping it. I’ve done this method on a multitude of levels ranging from the basic 15 to 450.

I found a 145 with INSANE stats, 1150 Stam and ZERO points in movement speed, so i trapped it, knocked it aut and hunted for prim meat, and when i came back, it was death😭😭😭

Easy tame, no cheats:

Equipment needed. 10 or so tranq arrows

.Crossbow/bow

.lots of meat

.Soothing balm (10x)

All you have to do is fire tranq arrows at Argie keep away but it doesn’t hurt if he attacks once or twice, you can do it however you want just knock it out with tranq arrows (really simple) then place all your meat in its inventory give soothing balm and for me it went from 0.00% taming then I waited for the white line to go up and from 0 to tame it was awesome, only lvl 2 but I will upgrade him myself also try on a low lvl I haven’t tried with a high lvl I don’t have anymore soothing balm.

Healing argy doesnt cause it to starve anymore.

Use a stone gateway with 3-4 stone fence foundations in front your pteranodon can get through but the argy gets trapped just close the gate behind it and tranq, use stone or better specifically because with stone wild therizino and giga are the only ones who can damage stone structures

These things are super easy to tame except that they always live in dangerous areas. Bring a Tapejara or a pteranodon and land and dismount near some. Make sure you make sure that they are protected and that they’re on passive. Find and argy that’s high in the air that you like (use a spyglass to check the level) and start shooting with any weapon that you can equip tranq arrows/darts with. Keep an eye on your other tames and other Dino’s around and don’t die as you shoot the argy. Once it’s knocked out fly over to it with your tames and use your choice of food on it. After you tame it, boost up its stamina and weight, (Depends on the level) because if you put everything you need to make smithy items he will go slow,and that would lead to you burning up its stamina.

I tamed a level 190 while still in HIDE ARMOR and no trap on foot where is my medal

I had read you could knock them out with slingshots. Does not seem to work on mobile. Tranq arrows work great

If you have a chance of killing one thru knocking it with say a crossbow, you can set your stuff aside and put down a sleeping bag. Then you feed yourself to it, it heals, you respwan at camping bag and get your stuff, and knock it. Works best with a trap

I went right on the edge of the Arctic area. There will be allosaurus, sabers, and scorpions and argies. Dart them and clear the area, feed anything on the list as long as you have narcs. No trap needed just use a longneck and darts. Happy Taming!😀
