Chapter 32: The Dex

Clack!
The door to Warren’s apartment swung open and a sheriff with tired eyes stepped inside. He flicked the switch and the lights hummed to life, lighting the room up. Closing the door behind him, he walked through a door frame and into his bedroom, which had a single, lone bed that could fit one. He reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a book, tossing it onto the bed. Unbeknownst to Sam and Detective Darren, Warren had snuck out that Dodo Tales book after Darren and Sam left the office. It was a simple task, really.
He opened up his wardrobe, switched his uniform out to a pair of pajamas, and snatched the book off the bed, walking off into the living room and plopping down onto the couch. Warren looked up at a stand on the wall. There was a picture of Warren, Sam, and their son Samuel together. Everyone was happy. Sam was carrying a small baby in her arms. He tore his eyes away from the picture and looked at the book that lay in his hands.
The book was called “Dodo Tales”, and there was an emblem of a dodo bird on the front cover. It was old and torn and the cover was as hard as a turtle’s shell. A hardcover book, it felt rigid and leathery to the touch, as if it was made of an animal’s hide.
“So who wrote this book?” Warren wondered as he began to flip through the old, yellow pages. The last page of the book, which typically featured who the author was, didn’t have anything except a list of people and the words, “Thanks”, at the top.
“Huh,” Warren said as he looked at the list. Many of the names were odd and unrecognizable. They were almost like usernames from a video game. But two names were separated from the others that stuck out to him.
“I give my biggest thanks to Bob and the Nazgul, my biggest and best friends on the Dododex! Without their tips, their thoughts, and their stories I would have never made it to where I am now.”
“Interesting names,” Warren thought as he glanced over them, “Isn’t Bob the name of the Vice President? Probably just a coincidence.”
Even if the book was referring to the Vice President, it wasn’t like he would have enough time for interrogation. Neither would an opportunity arise for him at the moment as on the ride home from Terran High he had heard on the radio that Vice President Bob himself would be going out on leave to the Western States of America for a meeting with their president.
But what piqued Warren’s interest the most was the “Dododex”. What exactly was that?
“I should search that up, along with the title of this book. Perhaps I can find the author that way,” Warren thought. But before he could do any of that he still needed to study the rest of the book. He flipped to the first page and noticed the table of contents only contained four “parts” to it. There was also a fifth part, but when Warren flipped to that page he noticed that it was the Thank You page.
“Where is the fifth part?” Warren asked himself. He flipped to the previous page and noticed the last few words at the bottom of the page.

The book had never finished.
Warren jumped back to the previous few parts, which seemed to be in fine condition. Although Warren noticed that the seams at these parts of the book were unusually off. It was as if they were stitched together manually.
Warren looked up at the ceiling, and pondered and pondered. What could any of it have meant? Most of these details didn’t matter whatsoever. For all it could have been, this book was just a book that the principal of Terran High really enjoyed reading, and there was nothing to dissect there.
But he still needed to try.
“If I can’t get a lead with one perspective, I will with another. I must find out who wrote this book,” Warren realized. He slammed the book shut and placed it on the coffee table. He got up from the couch and walked over to his desk. A slim, white laptop lay on the desk, produced by technology giant Element Corp.
Opening the laptop up, he fired it up and opened up his browser, gingerly typing “Dododex” on the bar and clicking the enter button. Instantaneously a few thousand results popped up, filling his eyes with thousands of icons of strange egg emblems. He moved his finger along the touchpad and clicked on the link that was most unique. Dododex “Stories”.
Upon clicking the site, his screen faded a teal blue, with a green bar at the top. There was a strange message at the top of the screen.

Ally’s Hope
Chapter 10
They traveled through the cave, “where’s the terminal?” Asked Lynx “it’s supposed to be down that tunnel, along with the artifact” replied Rorin, stopping and pointing at a glowing tunnel with his paw. “Maybe we should have Lynx scope it out first”, Lynx ran off just as Renegade finishes his sentence, Lynx came back about 5 minutes later. “The cave is covered in rexs, allos, yutys, Carnos, basically it’s covered in a bunch of deadly things” said Lynx “well how are we supposed to get to the arena? Not everyone can climb like Lynx” stated Renegade, Ally looked at everyone like they were stupid, “I think we should stay here and let Lynx go, I just have a feeling that’s what we’re supposed to do” blurted Ally, everyone stared at her, but after a moment, Lynx smiled, and ran off, back down the glowing cave. “Lynx wa-“ Renegade stopped Rorin from following Lynx by putting his paw in front of him, “trust them” said Renegade, calm and determined. Just a moment later Lynx appeared at the other side of the cave they where in, she ran over to them as the center of the cave started to shimmer. The forest titan appeared, the forest titan was there as if the air had formed it, it roared. “So, um what’s the plan!?” Yelled Lynx, the forest titan was slow, “I’ll climb up that tree, Ren, Rorin, you lead it close to the tree so I can grab onto its leg, Lynx you climb up to the top and wait for me there, we need to destroy the corruption” ordered Ally, not stopping to let the others speak, she went to the tree she was talking about and climbed up it. Renegade looked at Rorin, he had a grumpy expression, Renegade smiled then bumped his side into Rorin’s in a playful manner, Rorin rolled his eyes as the went to get the forest titans attention, Lynx ran toward the titan, she jumped onto the titans leg and started to climb. Once the forest titan got close to the tree Ally jumped out of the tree and landed on the titans leg, with a determined look, she started to climb, Rorin and Ren kept distracting the titan. Once Ally made it to the top of the titan where Lynx was waiting, Lynx told Ally they should start by taking out the corruption in the left shoulder, so they did. Lynx ripped at the corruption as if she was sharpening her claws on a tree, Ally ripped out the corruption with her beak, until, the titans arm fell off, and Lynx nearly went with it, she managed to climb back up, they started on the other shoulder. One by one they pulled out the corruption, the titans left arm grew back, just as the right one fell to the ground. The forest titan roared, louder than before, it shook the ground, the forest titan shot two seeds from its back, hitting Ren and Rorin, roots started to encase them. Ally stared at Ren and Rorin, the titan had thrown the seeds before, but they never hit anything, as Ally stared at the roots encasing Ren and Rorin the forest titan raised its left arm and knocked Ally off, Ally squawked as she fell, then started to glide gently down. The roots around Ren and Rorin started to dissipate and they started to distract the titan again, Lynx looked at Ally who was now standing on the ground. “Lynx! Get the corruption on its chin! You can do it! I believe in you!” Yelled Ally, Ren and Rorin going in circles around the titan, “you can do it!” Yelled Renegade, Lynx looked at Rorin, Rorin rolled his eyes, “I believe in you!” Called Rorin halfheartedly, Lynx smiles and laughed. Lynx turned to face the titans chin, her face changing. She climbed up to its neck and climbed onto its chin, she was upside down, Lynx did her best to hold on, but she was going to fall. Lynx looked up at the forest titans face, she used the roots the forest titan was made of and wrapped and weaved them around three of her legs, leaving one of the front ones free, she used it to claw at the corruption. After a while, the forest titan stopped Ren noticed that Lynx could not free herself, the roots where ensnaring her, by now Ally and Rorin had noticed as well, the forest titan had started to fall, the corruption on his chin gone. “Lynx!” Yelled Ally, as the titan fell to the ground clouds of dirt fell around it, they couldn’t see anything, but as the clouds of dirt started to disappear, they could see two silhouettes, the forest titans, and another, standing on top of it. The forest titan stood up, as it stood up they noticed Lynx standing on top of it triumphantly, Ren, Rorin, and Ally cheered.

Ally’s Hope
Chapter 9
“So you can’t actually fly?” Asked Renegade as he separated the good parts and the bad parts of his corrupted Dilo “I cant fly, I can glide, but that’s about it, my tribe never taught me how to fly” replied Ally as Rorin walked up “I went back to where those runes where and found some more, I suggest we start with the forest titan, the artifacts are right at the terminal so we don’t need to worry about those, I also found out where exactly the terminals are, the forest titan requires, 10 Rex arms, shouldn’t be too hard, 10 sauropod vertebrae, we’ll just kill some Diplos, and as I said, the artifact, but that one is the easiest” Said Rorin. Lynx jumped up “well then, let’s start on the corrupted hearts, there are so many corrupted dilos and raptors, which are pretty easy to take out, AND they live in packs so it’ll be easy to get a lot at once” suggested Lynx, “sounds good to me! Also, would now be a good time to mention that I can’t fight? Also I don’t really want to” said Ally, Rorin starred in shock, he was starting to get very annoyed with this bird, he couldn’t take it anymore “WHY DIDNT YOU SAY THIS BEFORE!? TELL ME LYNX, RENEGADE, WHY, WHY, ARE WE TAKING THIS NUICENCE WITH US!? SHE CANT HUNT, FIGHT, OR FLY, SHES USELESS! AND WHATS ALL THIS WITH HAVING A FEELING ABOUT HER, YOU BOTH CLEARLY HAVE IT, WHY DONT I! OH I KNOW WHY, ITS BECAUSE YOUR BOTH DELUSIONAL, YOU TOO BIRD, AND IM NOT, THATS WHY!” Yelled Rorin, breaking, he breathed heavily. Lynx was had gone from standing up, full of courage, ready to fight, to ready to rip Rorin to shreds “I didn’t understand 50% of that, I’m just going to assume Rorin’s getting himself ready for fighting the titans” said Ally, she sounded stupid, Lynx was tired of Rorin’s grumpiness. Lynx walked up to Rorin “You are STUPID to think you can talk to ME and MY friends like that without getting your PELT ripped off! YOU take that ALL back RIGHT now!” Growled Lynx, a dark look in her eyes “make me” sneered Rorin, Renegade stood in horror, about to jump in to the fight to try to sort this out. Ally came in between Lynx and Rorin, stoping Renegade from trying, “look, I know it’s hard right now, and we’re all starving and confused, and I don’t know half of what Rorin was talking about, but we can’t fight! Imagine what will happen!? NONE of us even know how to survive out here alone, HECK, we can barley do it together! So, pull yourselves together and let’s go kill some corrupted dilos! I may not be able to fight, BUT, I can climb trees, I’ll use that to jump on top of them and kill them, alright? Besides...if they’re corrupted, I don’t think we can do much for them” said Ally, a small tear formed as she said the last sentence. “Ally’s right, having her in the trees will be almost like having her in the air, so let’s get on with it!” Agreed Renegades “fine, I guess that bird, despite her empty brain, can have decent ideas sometimes” growled Rorin, Lynx nipped at him.
The four of them spent the whole day collecting the corrupted hearts, once they had them all the took them to the cave underneath the purple liquid, where nothing would find them, and decided to move on to getting the vertebrates tomorrow, the next day they headed for the sanctuary, diplos where not hard to find, in the process they actually got a good meal for once. On the way to the sanctuary, they had spotted many rexes and also found some in the sanctuary, so, they killed them with ease, Ren and Rorin attacking its feet, causing it to spin in place, in attempt to get them, while Lynx jumped onto its back and Ally jumped onto it’s back from the tree, once they where both on they would claw at the Rex constantly until it died, they did this over and over again until they had enough Rex arms. The four of them where prepared, they had found even more runes telling them about the titans, they knew what to do, Ally, would be perfect for this one since it was just a living tree, tomorrow, they would tame a titan.

Ally’s Story
Chapter 3
Ally had half flapped, trying to fly, and half walked and now she was...lost. Ally had no idea where she was, but she did know a way to potentially figure it out...just had to find a good tree. Ally wandered a little longer just to have a Rex practically land on top of her Ally tried to get away but she still didn’t know how to fly and just as she was about to turn around and accept her fate as she knew she could not outrun a Rex three defense units crashed into the Rex attempting to kill it. The Rex was distracted, Ally left as fast as she could. When Ally was little a defense unit had attacked her tribes base as they occasionally did and that’s when she realized she would need a way of escape in case of a life or death situation. Lol was the main care taker of all the baby dinos and every time she left Ally would try to climb a tree, and now, she was a professional tree climber. Ally climbed a tree near a cliff, not afraid, she used her beak and sharp talons to grab on to the tree and she wrapped her wings around branches to help haul herself up. Ally was about halfway up the tall tree when she noticed a small cave in the cliff, safe from predators, not really a cave though, more of a indent in the stone, Ally glided down from the tree, the closest she could come to flying, and landed in front of the “cave” Ally lied there, wondering, as she looked up at the sky. Would Ally ever be able to fly? Was she defective? Would she be able to survive out here? Would she be able to find her tribe again? Would she wake up to find herself dead? These where all questions Ally had that could not be answered, she missed the older dinos who would tell her stories, she missed her parents even though they did not seem to care about her, she missed Lol and her gentleness toward Ally, she missed being a tame. That was it! Ally was still technically tamed, just, on wander, the humans would find her soon and then she could go home and sit next to a warm fire and listen to Silver and Lol go over the days activities and about the silly things that happened on a daily basis. Ally, Ally would not give up hope, this, this was her hope, for her tribe to find her, to be home, she, would not give up, no matter what.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I can’t wait to write the next chapter!

Me and my dad were going to tame one and put das of work into the Saddle put In a chest took off on a boat and out of nowhere a sarco comes up and destroyed the box and the game glitches and didn’t give me my stuff back😭😭😭😭bye bye argy almost about to tame it 🤯so mad up if you have felt simmalar encounter

I had 4 argy's, Andrew, the father, Alixian, the mother, Alex, their fist child, and Alexis, their daughter. When I was hunting for metal, with Andrew, a random 150 rex came and ate Andrew, I was very sad when he died. Alixian is still very alive, and a great pet, brave, fearsome, and willing to put up a fight. But.. Just a couple hours earlier, I was on a metal run, with Alixian, and Alex the anjy, and I was JUST around the corner from base, when I seen a sarco eating Alex, and he was on passive and so was Alexis.. It was to late.. They were both killed, and I cried, killed the sarco and cried more. At least Alixian is still alive. But her family weren't so lucky..

Chapter Four: The Survivor’s Truth
I reluctantly stepped into the cabin. The inside smelled like a mixture of citrus and brown rice. It was a small cabin. It had a bed in one corner, a small table in another, and various logs for chairs. In the back right next to the bed, was a stone fireplace. A black pot sat in it. Josh motioned for us to sit on one of the logs. I complied. “So…” I began, staring expectantly at Josh. “…Right. I’m guessing you both will want to know where you are? The answer to that is, I haven’t the slightest idea. Like I’ve said, I’ve only been here for a day or so.” He said dreamily. Ethan looked even more confused than before, and I with him. Josh hurried over to the pot. He pulled it out of the fire with his bare hands, then poured the contents into three stone bowls. He brought them over to us, and handed them out. I looked at the mixture. It had a thick, juicy, chicken looking meat in it, something that looked like blackberries, water, and various leaves. Ethan twirled his finger in it. “Looks safe…” He said, almost sounding as if he was reassuring himself. I nodded gratefully at Josh, I hadn’t ate since I left earth. I downed the mixture in one gulp. I turned to see that Ethan had done the same, though, his reaction was much different then mine. He looked as if he had swallowed an entire lemon whole. “Why are we here?” I asked suddenly, surprising even myself. Josh swallowed the large chunk of meat he had been chewing on, and cleared his throat. “There are two things that I guess could’ve happened. Number one, We were kidnapped in our sleep, and thrown back to earth. Number two, TUR threw us into a simulation of sorts, to battle it out amongst each other, caveman style. Number two is the more likely probability, judging by the fact that our wrists were branded with ‘Contestant X’.” He said simply. I raised my eyebrow. “So your essentially saying, we’re in a game?” I asked. “Essentially, yes.” He replied. I felt anger rising inside me. “I will not be used, I am Commander Per-.” I was cut short by Josh raising his hand. “Be quiet, do you hear that?” He said. I listened. I didn’t hear it immediately, but I saw the color drain from Ethan’s face, his knuckles turned white as he clenched the axe. Then, I heard it, someone was outside, and by the sound of it, they were pleading with someone, or worse.

Hello there! I have a funny storry to tell :). I was out exploring on scorched earth with my rex and an army of 20 sabers, all being at least lvl 100 with god stats, when i found an argie. Boy oh boy was i happy! It was a M A X. L E V E L and i was excited. Its colors are what make him different! He was ALL BLUE and had some pink. Thats right ladies and gentlemen, MR BEAST HAD BLESSED ME. I named it “Mr. Beast jr” and stuck it into a pokeball (aka cryopod) then i went back to my base and was not disapointed, bc he was litaraly a god, his health? OFF THE CHARTS. Damage? OFF THE CHARTS. His stamina? OFF.THE.CHARTS. I wish you all goodluck on your jurney to find an argie just as special as mine :)

So, I was on ARK and I was trying to tame an argy_ shot down a beautiful black and white level 12 male kinda wanted a female but eh I'll take what I get---- once tamed I turn around and see a mystical purple body, pure white wings , black head, misty gray legs, level 120 female-- I did not have the supply's to tame it cause of the first argy so I went back to base to get the stuff and went back-- 😭 found it's corpse under a 250 giga 👁️👄👁️💔
Once apon a time, in a peaceful ragnorok server, me and my friend decided that our next tame should be an argy! So we gathered all the resources and successfully trapped one, I let my friend have the first one since he wanted it more. He named her Zapdos and was a great help to our small team. I decided that I wanted one too - especially a male - so we could breed them. And so me and my friend trapped another and tamed him up. I named him buckbeak from Harry Potter. He was a great help for gathering our materials, and we went on so many adventures across the whole map. With close encounters with sarcos, allos and even rexes, we felt unstoppable, flying through the sky. Until one day, me and my friend decided to explore the map further. We wanted to fly through the arctic region and through the mountains to see what there was to offer. We killed some dinos for food and set off on our journey. We started flying up and up towards the snow, and without realizing, we began to freeze. We didn’t have any armour to help with this, so we decided to make an emergency landing and quickly make some campfires. Our argys landed next to a frozen river, but we soon realized we were doomed. I froze to death and so did my friend. To this day. Buckbeak and zapdos are still waiting at the top of the mountain, and are still yet to be found. We never saw a death message so we hope they are still alive, they were also set to neutral so they should be able to fend for themselves. Maybe it’s better for them to rest though, but we will continue to search for them. One ^ = one person searching for buckbeak and zapdos
