The ankylosaurus is a tank of a creature and has damage reduction on all parts of the body. They have weight reduction on metal but not ingots and can gather a lot of metal, stone , and crystals

The fact that it harvests not only metal, but almost all other plant and natural resources (except fiber) makes it one of the most valuable tames. If paired with an argy, the two are the key to limitless potential.

On Ragnarok, go to canyon and get your industrial forge setup there. Bridge the entire area up and get a couple ankys and use em to gather metal and burn it all up. Can produce heavy amounts if done efficiently though takes time to get the metal to make the forges.

These creatures are amazing for farming metal so you might want to make a pen near a mountain with metal nodes. You also might want to either upgrade weight a lot or get an argentavis with a lot of weight to carry it!

anky’s are really good when u have an argy too, all u gotta do is pick ur ankylo up and fly to a volcano or something, use ur anky to get metal, crystal and obsidian or whatever, then fly him back to ur base!

700% melee and you can easily get 100 metal out of a normal node on 1x, its insanely strong! Took mine with an 88 armor saddle into bear cave and massacred the entire place with its bite attack. Theyre great:)

guys gotta say this is the best gathering dino gather metal 1/4 the wait plus get an argi with it harvest metal and obsidian argi halves the wait for those best tandem

The best way to get metal is tame a few of these guys, then get in a tribe if you dont already have one. Then ask your tribe members to grind with you and you'll get loads of metal! I tested this out too. And make sure you alternate between weight and strength to get the most.

The best way to farm metal INDISPUTABLY is with an anky and a karkinos. The karkinos can throw the anky to different metal nodes, regardless of the weight of the anky, meaning that you can get up to 300 stacks in one metal run!

If you need to get around the map with your anky, but don’t yet have the coveted argy, stick to the waterways. Swimming is faster than sprinting, or you can put it on a raft.
