Trap it after making it sleep and don't go farther it move somewhere else if you go farther and you can't find it.

My first one was disappeared after knocked when I go to get taming food but next time I checked other one it was in different place and taming is going on.

Becaful about using the guide for kick out on this as it has the amount of arrows required very wrong.

Place your anky on a ramp off your quetzal platform and use it to gather metal. The quetzal will not register any of the anky's weight (only if it is on the ramp), so gather as much metal or other materials as you want.

With the new update, quetz ramps can no longer be put on the head, put it on the side or back to use anky tactic

Take 3k stimberrys and give it to the anky or any herbivore feed it to them knocked out and wait for the dino to starve the Dino will feed on the stimberrys and still tame while it's starving after it starves feed mejoberrys or what ever you are using and it should cut the tame in half

Only level weight. High melee for more metal is pointless if you can't carry it.

Best way to take these guys,

Make a stone base without a roof near your base

Get your argy and grab an anklyo

Bring it back to the stone base

Drop it in

Knock it out with about 60-100 tranq arrows

Feed it some soothing balm and rockocarrots, bam you have an ankylo!

Bola it. WIAT for it to be on the ground wether walking or standing and walk next to it, it won’t fly off too soon so just throw a bola and build around it quick. If it’s low level like 50 and under you should be able to bola it and once the bola comes off don’t stop just a shot or two should do it.

How to knock out a ankylo

1. Craft club and tranquility arrows

2. Harvest mejoberry and tintoberry

3. Go to redwoods on the island

4. Find ankylo

5. Hit from behind

6. Call your biggest tame

7. Let him/her knock out ankylo

8. Whistle stop

9. Put mejoberry and tintoberry in ankylo's inventory

10. Wait

11. When ankylo wakes up name it.

12. Craft ankylo saddle

13. Equip ankylo with saddle

14. Ride it home

15. Whistle stop at your newly tamed ankylo.

This tame manly depends on where you are if your close good if your far away bad because far away scary and has things that hurt hurt so if you close tranq and yea it’s like tameing a dodo don’t tame it close to your base (to close) and hit it with tranq arrow move back hit it with tranq arrow repeat bring narcotics and berrys SIMPLE

IF FAR AWAY move it close with argy ya know big slow bird SIMPLE and just be brave ya probably won’t die be at least level 30 when ya tame it ITS SIMPLE USE COMMON SENSE

I get all my Anky’s from herbivore island, on herbie island there alot of anky’s and trikes, thats why i go there,

Most anky’s from herbie island are low level, probably under lvl 25!

Grab a crossbow and around 6-8 tranq arrows, (double that if you want to tame another while there)

Alot of berries, and a few narcotics! (if you go to herbie island by water, using any water swimming dino, i recommend bringing another to tag along and carry the berries, narcotics and food for yourself)

When your Anky is knocked out feed it all the berries and narcotics and boom!

You have a spiky buddy

Once you have have a high level one, they make a great taming aid: you can fire tranq darts while riding this mount, and it'll tank all the damage. I once put out 6 member pack of raptors while riding this animal.same with the first Rex I tamed.

When you eat too many Frosted Flakes and you know it.

Bring about 3+ everything, should nicely cover yourself if more is needed.

Knock it out and tame it it is very spiky

When taming: Keep distance they have good AOE damage area. You can out run with out Movement speed boost. Only trap that works is large bear traps. When knocking out doesn’t matter where you hit them they have no multipliers for head or armor. They can only damage wood or thatch.

for begginers:its pretty easy to tame even without tranq arrows and stuff get a wooden shield,and a bat then hit it 2-3 times and block with your shield and when it’s knocked out you just feed the mejoberries and don’t forget the narcotics too
