I had spent three days looking for an anky so that I could get on with metal collection. Finally I found an okay level anky and took her back to my base in the plains. Our base was safe mostly and apart from the occasional carno or raptor we had never had any trouble. Excited about all the metal we could harvest I took our fresh new anky for a test drive. In a moment of worry, after having spent three days tracking her down, I thought but what if something comes and eats it? Dismissing this quickly, safe in the knowledge a carno or raptor would be no challenge, I trundled out to a very nearby metal node. No more than 375 metal had been loaded up when the screen started to shake. Suddenly a pack of carnos, urged on by a yuti, cascaded over the small cliff behind my metal nodes. I turned and ran but the anky was no speedster. I reached the gate of the base and opened the first gate and whistled ATTACK. My tribe mate was sleeping and the only tames around this area of the base were a moschops, an argie and a ceasar. The carnos poked their heads into the gate and I saw the remains of my anky collapse. I had a sinking feeling, this is it, this is how I lose my tames. Suddenly a rock drake soared over me and munched on the yuti, my argue still swirling around the carnos. My tribemate had awoken and as quickly as it had began, it was over. My tames were all close to death and the anky was no more. But the base was safe. We tamed some more anky later but I always check the cliff tops before venturing out now!

I appreciate the person that tried to help me with my anky not harvesting, and I will give feedback. I went through it's harvest settings and for some reason harvesting was off. Turned it back on and it worked. Unfortunately shortly after I games a bunch of dinos and I went out on my rex to get a argy, tamed one and a wolf. I dies and in my way back after getting my stuff, my game crashed and it won't let me get back to base. So thank you, but now I can't use the map. I still have a idea where I cryo my dinos and use the cheat fly to get back to base but... Might not work. I'll try tomorrow.

I went to herbivore Island to get one, and I found 3 and killed 2 of them, at the cost of my pteranodon then my crossbow broke I tried using my fists because it was already running away, but then it died and I am stranded now.

Ankylosaurus, the living tank, these guys, yes these guys are damn powerful, (well irl) Ark's interpretation of the Ankylosaurus are quite powerful but slow, these creatures are actually bigger in real life, and definetly very strong in smashing your balls. Ankylosaurus is also capable of well, rolling themselves to protect themselves from predators, like the doedicerus, but Ark kinda nerfed these guys on that situation, Ankylosaurus is also definetly the strongest armored dino out of the others, If Ark wants to interpret these guys better, definetly a size buff would be cool lol but its already pretty good

Long story short. I found an anky lvl 120 after searching for an hour tamed him everything was so happy too finally get it. I bring him to the tundra biome close to my base with my argy carrying him to kill off some dinos for levels up on him. His name was Andy. So i hop onto Andy kill off some low level Rex’s all happy was going back to my Argy on Andy when a Yutyrannus with a bunch of carnos come my way. I was seconds away from escaping with my Argy carrying Andy until a purlovia comes and knocks me off of Andy only for the Yutyrannus and his pack to end his life. He fought so hard but me and my Argy came back to base one Anky short 😔. RIP Andy you’ll forever be remembered.🙌🏽🙏🏽
