It is the second best metal gatherer but super slow so bring argents to grind metal effectively. It also becomes useless once you have a magmasaur.

If you don’t have a Dunkle yet for oil gathering, these guys are pretty good at it too, but have some dung beetles for producing oil too so you can have a home source.

Me and my tribe mate were pretty new to the game and we needed metal as we were always low on rifel ammo so we got Anklo we got two .For some reason we got 2 level 50 end 73 they both were mates and they're perfect for going to mountains now we collect metal in duos with both and it is efficient

They’re very tanky and my lvl 200 easily killed an Yurantosaurus lvl 80 with three lvl 80 Carnos.

I used a bow'n'20 arrows. You should bring at least 40 arrows. G luck

How to get a lot of metal with ankys.

1. Early game tame multiple. One pumped in melee and others in weight. Go to a mountain and collect with melee anky and put in weight ankys. Easy metal.

2. Mid game tame a paracer and place ramps to its back and fill the rest with ceilings. Cover the back end with walls and place ankys on the paracer. More ankys at a time and faster and you can encumber them for moar metal. Keep an argy to pick up fallen ankys.

3. Quetzal and anky. Needs 2 people but oh well. Place ramps on quetzal and have the anky pumpe melee only. The driver will hold down attack button. Quetzal will "scoop" anky with ramp and guide to metal. Repeat until anky don't harvest metal.

You can easily ko one by walking backwards slowly about 2 feet away from its face while slapping it with a club while it runs toward you. (Small tip): it’s very very slow and I think (without a rider) its the literal slowest turning creature in the Intire game(s).

Great for metao on abberation and valguero with a karkinos since they have a high carry weight and can attack while grabbed

If you think the mountains are too dangerous to tame just take him with your argy and put him wherever you want him

Make sure you tame high level ank for collecting metal

and make sure you have argent so if you want to collect

metals try to carry this ank and drop it in too more metal then begin collecting them if ank are more metal try to lift it up by argent thats a tip....

Crossbow with tranq arrow slightly unaccurate. Said 26 for a 145 took over 30.

If you're raiding a base and the have metal or stone walls, take one of these big, spiky, tanks with a wrecking ball for a tail and break the walls to allow any clan mates to storm the enemy base. Ho-ho-ho it's always a surprise when you do it in the dead of night.

Very easy to tranq, they’re slow. Make sure to tranq one that’s alone or move the others away because things can get difficult with multiple. Very useful for metal, and their eggs can be used for regular kibble.

On mobile, they are worst than an ascendant mtl pick at gathering mtl. Tip for you pc players coming to mobile ;)

Argentavis can now pick Anky up. Makes for a great metal, obisidian and crystal gathering pair since argy reduces weight by ½.
