It reduces the weight of the metal which makes it hands down the best dino to take on a metal run.

If you tame this your metal problems won’t exist, plus if you set it to auto gather and pick it up with anything that can carry it it will automatically gather metal when you get close enough!

I recommend loving on herbivore island at least early game but at the time I’m writing this I’m lvl 55 and still there anyway these can be tamed with just a slingshot for low levels! Just run while shooting. Mejoberries are good but kibble is better. I have two of these and I level weight so I can carry more metal at a time so hit metal rocks and boom at least 80 metal per hit! 100s of metal after this!

The anky is a great start and end game tame. They are great for metal ofc but also obsidian and cyrstsal. They are also quite good at collecting berries. They just have so many uses early and late game.

Use a weight crab with an anky in each claw. Way better than the anky quetz combo.

Pump the sh*t out of weight and damage

Having 2 friends on these while you ride a karkinos is very affective! Have your friends spam mb1 and just pick them up and toss them towards metal! This way you dont need to worry about carry weight and you can get two full body bags easy.Works best in abberation.

These guys are underrated they can get the most metal and can get the most berries

They can easily be knocked out with a decent Pachy if you dont wanna waste tranqs. I just knocked a 150 with my level 205 Pachy.

Best metal collector on the island mobile, anky-argy duo and you got hella metal, jus be sure to level melee ONLY.

Man, I thought these were gone be a tough take, but you get rocks and a slingshot with the ability to moonwalk at five miles an hour, and you're golden. Stoked to get a saddle for it so I can harvest the metal off this island I found him on.

Argys can pick these up. This may be a well known thing but my friends and i have gone through our entire lives not knowing this until today

Great for collecting keratin bones and metal at the surface entrances on abberation.

They really shine in scorched earth, as they are everywhere. Its fairly easy to tame a legion of them with a few boomerangs. Early on this can provide you with a solid defense. And once you can make a saddle you can get to mining huge amounts of metal, obsidian, and crystal from the mountains. Have other dinos like kentros or morella to carry the obsidian and crystal as the ankys don't have reduced weight on those, they should be fine carrying stacks of metal. Weirdly they seem to have lower base health than doedicurus, but stronger attacks. Also they can harvest huge amounts of flint from regular rocks to make sparkpowder.

Weight and melee is all you need to have an amazing ankylo Melee for getting more metal and weight for holding it

As of the July update it seems they no longer collect oil underwater with their tail swipe.

Don't keep it near water.Megapirhna can easily kill it in group.Rip my Anky.Megapirhna killed it when I was away.

DONT hit it when other ankys are around they will come and attack you as well also there very very good at getting metal
