What is a allosaurus used for? allosaurus utility tips and strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Allosaurus (/ˌæləˈsɔːrəs/)[2][3] is an extinct genus of large carnosaurian theropod dinosaur that lived 155 to 145 million years ago during the Late Jurassic period (Kimmeridgian to late Tithonian ages). The name "Allosaurus" means "different lizard", alluding to its unique (at the time of its discovery) concave vertebrae. It is derived from the Greek words ἄλλος (allos) ("different", "strange", or "other") and σαῦρος (sauros) ("lizard" or "reptile"). The first fossil remains that could definitively be ascribed to this genus were described in 1877 by famed paleontologist Othniel Charles Marsh. As one of the first well-known theropod dinosaurs, it has long attracted attention outside of paleontological circles.

Make a trap big enough to contain 3 of these guys (my trap was a 4x4) and trap the pack, kill the ones you dont need and knock the high lv ones, you can also make a tour of stone pillars (at least 10 high imo), keep in mind they would run, these guys are raptors on steroides, I got 3 of them, a male and couple of females, you can use their kibble to tame griffens and other useful creatures.

So... The Allosaurus! The off-brand, extroverted Carno!
The Allosaurs can be treated a lot like the other theropods on the ark: big, scary teeth, eat meat, kill things. However, the Allos have a buff: when in a group of 3 or more, the highest level allo becomes leader and gets buffs! Perfect for taking on bosses, or that one annoying friend who constantly persists on staying on the beach...
If you got Carnos, and you want to tame some of these awesome allos, then get rid of the carnos when you tame these. Allos are just bigger, better, faster and stronger versions of a carno, and when in a pack of 3 or more, the highest level gets a bleed attack. Surely that is enough to convince you that these are better than carnos.
