In my opinion, the safest and most effective way to tame is to make a dino pen and pick one up with your wyvern and drop it in the dino pen.

These guys are always in highland areas and travel in packs.

Also if you get bit by the alpha you will bleed out!

When it gets bloody stop shooting and wait a bit

If you are looking to get an Allo. Go to Lat. 40 Long. 11. They dont always spawn here, so it may take a while. Make a Raft with a wood or stone fountain 2x2 and then make a 1x2 tower that is 3-4 tall. Keep the Allos in the water. I made the mistake of making my tower 2 high. They almost got me. Love this mount, I recommend you get it as soon as you can, even if you don’t have saddle, that way you can start leveling up it’s stamina

lure a couple allos to the bottom of a cliff that you can't run up. using a mount that can fly/jump exceptionally well, scale the cliff. bring two crossbows: one for tranqs, and one for regular arrows; tranq the allo you want, and if it gets low on health, shoot and kill the others. since allos have no sense of shame, it'll eat its friends and regain health without losing torpor. once it starts to run, chase it! you need to be fast; i used my deinonychus to help me tame a lvl 135 and it worked great. kill anything that might attack your freshly unconscious friend, feed it some mutton, and enjoy

Try to knock out the highest level first so that you don’t have to worry about it at the end

Here's a mobile taming trap that'll work on just about anything from a Saber to an Allo:

1xRaft, 1xStone Dino Gateway, 1xStone Dino Gate, 2xStone Sloped Roof, 4xStone Foundation, 4xStone Ceiling, 18xStone Doorframe, 1xPteranodon (Optional).

Assemble 2x2 foundation on raft, add ramps and gateway to the front, place doorways to the height of the gateway on remaining sides, add ceilings at the top.

Lure dino through the gateway, fly/jump through the doorframes, and close the door behind the dino.

Modify as you see fit, additional structures maybe damaged or destroyed during tame. Monitor your health stats while luring and watch out for Leedsicthys during transit.

Get rid of the lame pack members, then using shocking tranq darts to knock out. No trap needed, just keep your distance with a flyer as you get your hits in.

Pain in the butt to find on the island. Check near mountains.

A way to tame a allosaurus is by using 5-6 dinosaur gates and two big bear traps as well as two door for the gates

How to set up the trap

1 put stone or metal dinosaur gates in a row 2 put one of the doors on ether the first or last gate then put the big bear traps in the cage in front of the door 3 find a allosaurus and lead it into the trap getting it caught by the first bear trap then put your second down opposite the the one you placed earlier then you can start to shoot it until it goes unconscious

Ps it is recommended that you have a flyer to fly over the trap to get it in by leading it

Found 2 by a shore and behind a big rock and stayed on my raft and shot them from the water (a pretty good distance) and they didn't even realize I was shooting them

place any foundation get a gate must be small and place it on the foundation and put door frames on the foubdations and shoot with tranqs and there you got a dino (tamed 2 argents, 1 allo, 1 theri, 3 wolfs with this trick)

I don’t recommend taming until you have tranq darts

To tame follow these steps:

1:find an allosaurus group

2:kill all allosauruses besides the one you want to tame

3:take a dino that you have that has a bunch of health and bait it

4:knock the allo out by shooting it in the head with your tranq darts

5:give it prime meat

6:guard it with your life

7:😁you have an allosaurus😁😁😁😁😁😁

There is a spawn glitch where 2 of them spawn and are stuck on eachother usually when I hit them they either get unstuck or despawn but once neither happened and that day I got 2 free Allos

How to tame:

Have 20 narcotics

Have 20 toxic arrows ( have free after casto tame quest )

Have a Crossbow

Kill the Alpha before or kill the other bcuz the Alpha will be a normal allo

Have 10 prime meat

Knockout in a clean and safe local

Give da 10× prime meat and the 20 Narcotics

Go to home and don't care Abt it when is on 70%+ or 80%+ tamed

I've tamed a Theri and a Sarco (and my griffin I wanted to tame got away cuz it chased a stupid Pteranadon)but yeah,get 4 stone Dino gateways and 2 Dino gates,place the gateways in a line like this | | | | (the lines represent the gateways) and put the gates at the ends(NOT ON INSIDE),make sure there aren't any gaps that they can fit through or glitch through cuz THEY WILL GET YOU,anyway,moving on from that,once you make your trap (on flat ground cuz I forgot to add that) find an allo,if there is a pack,I suggest run as fast as you can to a Dino they'll get distracted by,or if ur on a mount that can run,then don't even worry about the Dino just run,and if the mount can fight,then beat the heck out of the lowest lvls (if u want high,if just wanted low then beat the high) and lead the last one into the trap,after that,knock it out with tranq arrows (idk how many,but I suggest atleast 2 stacks tho) with a crossbow,if you don't have crossbow I think bow works too,but if you use crossbow than shoot it and wait about 5-7 secs (like with griffin so you don't kill it) between each shot,then when it's knocked out,shove some prime or cooked meat down it's throat and then BOOM you've got an allo,and this trap can be used multiple times,cuz like I said in beginning it helped me tame Sarco and Theri,thanks for reading and sorry this is so long,bye!
