Encountering Tips

How do I kill a allosaurus? allosaurus battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
You can find them at the western coast where you can find a lake separating the snow and the grass biome. Be careful tho since their bite can make your tame bleed and move slow (applies to the player). Bye :v
Umm it says that the wyverns cannot pick them up but i tried it and they can so thats wrong
I just found a pack of 16, the apla is level 296, there not far from my base. I set three rex on them, and I no longer have any Rexs 😭 help
My parasaur had 2.7k% damage and around 4K health but it still died to a single lvl 140 allo DO NOT TAKE THEM ON WITHOUT GOOD GEAR THEIR BLEED DOES A LOT OF DAMAGE
Note that they spawn in the beginner's area in Ragnarok. When encountering, I'd recommend luring it towards a large creature (such as a bronto) and running.
Lost a good Bary tho :(
Facts on the allosaurus:
Appearance: a medium-large sized carnivore, the allosaur has bony scutes all over its body. It has a slim shape, and long legs, allowing it to run at high speeds.
Also possessing two horny protrusions over its eyes, as well as having a long head, armed with large, sharp teeth. Do not confuse with the Rex, which is about two thirds bigger, and much slower.
Behavior: the allosaurus is a highly aggressive carnivore. One allo is a ferocious enemy, but their true strength lies in the pack buff, which happens when there is more than one allo: the higher level of the two will gain a damage buff, damage resistance, and two new abilities, consisting of a bleed attack, and a roar. A pack of allos will destroy anything. The bleed attack of the alpha allo does 5% damage overtime, which means that any enemy will die from at least twenty hits from a bleed attack.
Utility: the allo is no doubt a very useful tame. It’s easy to dump them for a much larger and more powerful Rex or spino, or a smaller, comparable carno, but every Dino has its uses. The allosaurus has the status of a large carnivore, so will thus be ignored by smaller, usually aggressive creatures unless the allo attacks first.
The allo is very fast, looks intimidating, and has a ferocious, rapid fire bite speed. Put it in a pack, and you have a well oiled killing machine. The only downside is that their stamina consumption when sprinting is really quite low, and takes a considerable time to regain.
Dangers: the allosaurus is very dangerous. Survivors without high movement speed or a very powerful weapon cannot fight or run away from one allo, even. God forbid more than one. One danger of the allo bleed attack is that it slows you down considerably, and also drains health by five percent over a few seconds. A very powerful, fast tame is recommended for fighting these. My go to is a powerful spino when fighting a pack, as a spino has equally fast damage output, extreme knockback, and can easily run away if the fight goes wrong.
Note: the allos bleed attack is based off of the real dino. The skull of the allosaurus possessed a thin palate, and long sharp teeth, which led paleontologists to believe that the allosaurus slashed and hacked with its teeth in order to bleed out and weaken the prey to make it easier to kill.
Hope you all enjoyed! L&P, out.
I live near a good place for them to spawn, and the buggers only spawned in once. If you find one, it probably will take below 60 arrows.
If you get jumped by a gang of allos on foot, weave in between the trees and rocks. Their path finding is awful.
Spawn often in highlands north.(Ragnarok)
Don’t agro this unless you plan to tame it while on a mount of you have a trap for it because these things chase you and will track you like the terminator until you get out of render
These guys usually travel in packs near the mountains, so if you find one, good luck escaping, these guys catch up to you always. Unless you have a bird or a very quick tame, you’re toast.
So I’m level 15 on mobile, no big deal, new player. So I’m exploring by a cliff in the easy area. There is a chalicotherium I can see in the far distance. I then see a phioma launch itself off of the cliff and into the ocean below. Not two seconds later do 3 of these burst over the ridge and hammer themselves into the ocean, one by one, chasing the phioma. R.I.P that phioma, but it saved my life 5 minutes ago.
Get a friend (or on single player get two people playing)
tame it from above with an argentavis its easy.
Allosaurus can't be picked up by a quetzal in mobile
One of these guys went in my base like it was there’s and killed all my tames.. great
Beware the bleed it is the cause of many dino deaths
If your dino had been bitten by the pack on the Allo you get the bleed effect right? Sometimes you can’t turn to attack them because of the slow effect of the bleed.
Tip: If you get bleed effect and the allo’s are camping ur Dino’s side and u got the bleed effect just unmount ur dino then it’ll turn by itself then use your shotguns or whatever but if you don’t have them just once your dino had turned just mount it again.
I was looking for a tapajera but instead found dozens of these in red wood forest I didn't fight them
depending on the map where you are playing, they can be rare or common creatures. For example, on The Island these guys are pretty hard to find, while, in Valguero they are everywhere.
If you see one of these and you just started, it’s best to run or lead it into another creature. I would recommend leading it into a bronto (and bait it into hitting it) but if not, a trike/any large herbivore that deals damage or tanks.
