This dino is by far my favorite. If you can manage to find 3 120 allos you will be close to unstoppable. When you have 3 allos( doesn't matter what genders) the highest level will be considered the "alpha", this means the alpha can do bleed affects which causes damage over time as well as slows you down temporarily. When getting a pack of allos or a allo the only stats that ever need to be pumped is stamina, melee damage, and movement speed. Hope this helps! 😄

Hear me out, yuty and a bunch of allos

Make a taming pen with stone gateways, 2/4 on each side, 1 on the front side, and fill the back side with one doorframe with door and the rest walls. Place a large bear trap in the middle. Trap the allo in the pen in the bear trap so that you can safely close the front side gateway (the rest should be closed. If needed, kill the others. Make a foundation with a staircase on the backside. Now easily knock at tame the allo. This probably works for more dinos but only tried with allo.

Definitely one of the more underrated creatures in ark.

A pack of allos with alpha boost can do some serious damage and bleed. My tribe has a whole bunch of these dudes and we managed to kill a enemy tribe’s giga. Twice.

Large bear trap works for about 10 seconds before it is back on your ass

Alright listen. Make a foundation floor 3x3. Then build a wall of doorframes around the foundations 2 high. Next build WOOD ramps on one side of the box. USE WOOD RAMPS, STONE IS TOO SHORT. Finally, use a bird to lure the allo to the pit and take your time in taming it.

If you encounter a larger pack, fighting these guys is ill advised. Packs can merge together and facing off against one larger than 3 is a huge risk, especially if you aren't bringing multiple tames as they can surround you and simply overwhelm

THE best way to tame anything is to use an argy cage, simply use like 5 dinosaur gateways made of stone and keep one gate door open before you find a dino to tame, once you do, lead it to the cage and then run out through one of the gaps between the gateway frames and obviously close the door and, tadaa, one stuck dino to tame

Fun Fact: Allosaurus had a bite force no better than a lion, but it could gnash it’s prey, instantly killing them. It was around the same power as the T. Rex’s bite force, so the gnash ability in ARK is super realistic!

If you encounter a pack and only want to tame one of them, you can aggro them onto other nearby wild dinosaurs, and eventually break up the pack. This makes it easier to kill off unwanted Allosaurus and eventually single out the prospected tame.

So i was chilling on craigs crove with my pteranodon and there were ALOT OF HERBIVORES and carnivores were basically extinct on that island but then…. A PACK OF HIGH LEVEL ALLOSAURUSES WERE UNLEASHED THEY REKTED THE 150 BRONTOSAURUS And when i was flying i away i accidentally fell in water and my ptera got lost and the allo chased ME but thank god a herd of trikes went to fend it off for 2 minutes i requested back my ptera and we flew away :) then i realised i left my compy so i had to fly back

Get on a griffin. Dont go near it. it’s a rex on crack.

Build a stone taming pen of 5 by 5 and stone doorways 2 high with a ramp. Managed to tame 3 allos at the same time with nothing but a pteranodon, tranq darts and a longneck rifle.

Just kidding they are easy to tame when they are singled out from their group… Kill the bad ones and tame the alpha!

Very powerful at high levels. Upgrade mainly stamina as they don’t have a lot, along with health and melee obviously. A pack of three or four 150’s can eat almost anything in their path. A single high level allo is good for light expeditions and scrapes with theras, carnos, and the average rex.

Utilities:

- Pack Creature + Gnaw ability and a roar

- Good for farming meat

- Good for Midgame against creatures like rexes

- Additional damage if it's an alpha in a pack

- Lethal Dpm

- Useful for taking down creatures with a tremendous healthpool like the Titano and Giga with the gnaw ability

Disadvantages and others:

- Sh*tty stamina

- Kinda hard to tame

- Annoying asf when encountered with a ground tame

- Death sentence to a tamed giga/titano when bitten by a pack leader

Easiest way imo is a trap. You need 4 stone foundation

16 stone doorways and 4-6 wooden ramps depending on ground height. They will fall into a trap 2x2 2 high doorways they go down easy. You can get 2 in a trap this size. I have a 4×4×2 with a gate I use to trap all sorts of tames and I got a pack of 3 stuck in there tamed all 3 of them with 100 tranqs in a crossbow and a theri to gather fresh prime. You can also trap 1 and kill others. If you trap multiple knock out weakest to strongest. There is a chance that when they attack walls they hit the sleeping ones which is why you go weakest to strongest.

When three or more allos meet up, the highest level becomes an alpha. He will be the one with orange glowing cloud on his back. Reducing the pack to only 2 dinos will remove alpha status from the highest level allo. This means it is usually easier to kill the weakest in the pack first and then the fight will be much easier. Multiple alphas can be created if a large group of allos form. However that are not invincible. Personally saw a group of 15 Wild allos with 5 of them being alphas get wrecked by a Lvl 80 giga. So even if you could somehow tame all 15, you would be far from invincible. A good step up from a carno, but they stand no chance against similarly leveled Rex or giga.

The Allosaurus is a very useful creature, they can be used for meat harvesting, base guards, kibble, etc. Allos are also very useful for bosses, I would recommend mixing some of these (preferably mate boosted) with rexes for the bosses.

The allosaurus

Temperament: aggressive. If it sees you and you are in Aggro range, it will make a beeline right for you, or your tames. The best way to counter is a strong mount that can take a beating, or a really fast one to run away.

Diet: carnivore, so the best food is mutton, prime meat, or cooked options.

Taming: the easiest way to tame these guys is a trap, they are decently big, although in the smaller size compared to a Rex or other Rex sized Creature. If you want to tame it make a 3x9 stone foundation square, and make stone doorframes three high for walls, then some ramps so you can lead it in. Get aggro then run through trap or around to the back. And you should have it in. Keep in mind allow come in packs of 1-4 so make sure you have enough tranqs for all of them. If you don’t want four allos then kill off the lower levels and take the pack leader and lead in to the trap. Then it’s easy, tranq and repeat for others.

Uses: allos are great pack hunters, and have a pack buff when there are two or more. They can shred when there are a lot and can take down big things in packs of 3 or four. I had a group of 11 (all above 200) take out a lvl 450 giga on a 10x server. Overall great mounts for battle, traversing terrain, especially dangerous areas like the volcano and the bog.
