You can’t use tek suit flying around its face. The taming system breaks.

You can use a tame to tame the acro, recommend is rex or deino.

I tame all of mines using an ice wyvern with about 2k stam and %370 mele. Works just fine. Kite it back don’t let it bite you. Takes about 4-5 ice breaths between roars. I have never encountered the false roar people talk about while using this method and I’ve tamed a good amount of acros so far.

Use a tanky, high drag weight tame to face tank the acro. The high drag weight means it won't get knocked back by the acros headbutt (I use Deinotheriums). Once the Acro is hot on your tame, dismount and shoot it with a powerful weapon, wait for it to adrenaline roar, and feed it a narcotic or bio toxin while it's doing it. You DO NOT have to aim for its mouth, so run up to its foot where the hit box is easier to hit.

Technically, you can also use your tank mount to damage the acro (or any mount) but it's riskier than just using weapons.

If you can transfer a managarmr to the map youre taming this on, mana's ice breath worked great for getting it low enough to roar without killing it. I used this method on PVE and it saves you a lot of time and a lot of ammo. Simply just use the breath til it roars while keeping your distance, run up to it when it roars, feed it then hop back on and repeat.

You tame them like Yo lings

Clear the area. Use a mana with low melee like 300% but good health, like 12k and a good saddle - free it with the breath, until it roars, hop off and give biotoxin - rinse and repeat till knocked.

Fly above them with tek suit, shoot with shorty or tek rifle, drop down feed bio toxic.. well easy !

Hover over it with a tek suit and shot it with a shotgun gun, once it roars and starts glowing red feed it bio toxin which needs to be in you 0 slot on your hot bar. Once unconscious feed it exceptional kibble.

If you're going to tame it, use bio toxin instead of narcotics—it's more effective. Also, it's preferable not to use stone, as the Acrocanthosaurus can break it quickly. Be careful with the roar bait—it can stun you for a few seconds if you don't recognize it

Shoot it's balls untill it gets into Shield Stance wait until it roars then put biotoxin in its mouth have it in your last inventory slot then repeat until it knocks out and feed it normally be careful it might have its head halfway closed when's it roaring if you get close when it's mouth is like that it'll bite you ONLY approach if it's mouth is completely Open

Thought I would hate the taming method until I went and fought a max level with my bison. Just make sure your bison has ~10k health and 300% melee, fight it until it roars while making sure to feed it corpses or disposable tames when it’s low and you’ll have a easy time. (Extra note do not use the charge attack of the bison, the simple headbutt will suffice and if you mess up throw a disposable tame or simply run until it heals and calms down)

For an ascended shotgun 200+ damage for high 145-150, 5 shots will do to bloody it.

Unfortunately on some servers the lag will require to wait for those shots to register with the acro. Because of this I used a tanky deinotherium(high drag weight), health pumped to about 40k with a solid saddle blueprint to eat the acros damage and keep its focus in passive.

Position yourself far enough behind the acro and shoot its rear. Once the required shots have been made, wait for it to leave shield stance and it will 99 percent always go into its adrenaline mode. Run up behind it and feed the bio toxin then step away. Rinse n repeat. This method also removes the fake roar it does.

If this seems too much I think some ppl are using the managarmr method.

Best way to tame it is with mana trust me

When it roars and stuns you, it is NOT in adrenaline mode. You can go back and keep damaging it

Most fun taming I’ve had in a long time.

Taming :you have to shoot it with a sniper/pump shotgun/assault rifle preferably in a good quality so it doesn't break or bring more than one gun then shoot it until it does a weird walk you shoot it more then it will roar and you'll go to it's mouth and put narcotic in hotbar number 0 so you can feed it repeat until knocked out then feed it mutton

Tips :Bio toxin does double the torpor and if you're scared that it might die everytime you feed it the narcotic/biotoxin it fully heals you could also feed it a corpse and finally there's a fake roar you only feed it on the same roar it always does

Use biotoxin instead of narcotics, its better

Be careful with the bait roar—if it catches you, you’ll be stunned and the Acrocanthosaurus will enter rage mode. During this time, it won’t use its defensive stance, meaning you’ll have to wait before continuing the tame

Get lots of large bear traps no creature even the giga can break a bear trapping but I have not tried this so may not work
