….And now it’s time for the first Q and A round!!! The first questions were asked by Ben and PrimalApex….

Answers for Ben.
1. Will “A Runaway’s Tale” be finished? Or the Newspaper in general.
Yes, I plan to finish “A Runaway’s travels” so that there won’t be a plot hole. I paused for a few weeks bc I wanted to finish the ROTP series.
2. Did you anticipate TTDOT being a fully fledged series with five books?
No, I did not. I really didn’t know how TTDOT would turn out when I first started or if anyone would like it. I’m so glad that I got this far! =)
3. Which installment was the hardest to work on and which one was the funnest. Which one is your favorite?
The hardest to work on was TDP. It was hard for me to develop Jack’s character. At first I was planning for him to have gone slightly crazy from seeing Josephina and Jaquin’s “deaths” but I decided it would be hard to write about a mad person so after a long debate I settled on him being unstable. Although I kinda hated him being unstable, because it made him seem…needy.
The funnest book to work on was TTOTSP. The characters were fun and engaging. They were happy and not scarred from war and grief. They were…innocent and naïve.
My favorite book is TTDOT. I love it bc it was my first ACTUAL book and I love how the Peterson family was all together. They were happy and at peace, despite the peacekeepers and the mayors. LOL, I’ll never forgive myself for letting Michael do that to them. (It was primarily Michael’s fault technically.) TTDOT will always have a special place in my heart.
4. Why and how are Brutus and Peggie the only animals capable of talking in ROTP?
So…Jaquin used the TINY bit of his power that was like Josephina’s mixed with his and “accidentally” made Brutus and Peggie able to talk. And that is why they are the only animals able to do that.
5. What really was Tortuga anyway? And if the British exist then do another non-Phoenix nations also exist?
Tortuga was a small island that wasn’t owned by the Phoenixes, the British or any other kingdoms. It was kind of its own country, ruled by the cruel mayors. Later after it was destroyed, Tortuga became inhabited by the pirates.
Yes, there are some other small kingdoms that aren’t Phoenixes. They’re very rare though. The phoenixes exist to protect the… “Mortal kingdoms”.
6. What does the world look like now? Like, the map?
I actually have no idea. Maybe a bit like the Fjordur map…
7. How is your day?
My day had been great! Thanks for asking! I’ve been a little bored tho because I don’t have much to write (I need a plan….) but other than that, I’m doing well, physically and mentally!

1. Besides finishing ROTP, what do you feel was most gratifying accomplishment for you in making this book series?
I think the most gratifying thing, is that I finished the ROTP series. Even if people don’t like it, I’m so happy that made it.
2. What is your absolute favorite part out of the entire series by specific chapter or chapters?
My most favorite part was the epilogue of TWOTP. It felt so peaceful and the world was at peace. All the characters were happy and that makes me happy. 😊
3. What were the largest inspirations behind each of the stories and the entire series itself. (Besides Ark)
Inspiration came slowly. It took me a while to find a story that…felt right. I wanted a world that had people that had powers that were only dreamed of. I wanted a world where good triumphed over evil. I wanted my characters to feel real, to the readers. I wanted my characters to love and hate like real people do. I wanted a world where people stood up for each other. And so, with some helpful ideas from two of my friends, I created The Riddles of The Phoenixes universe. I feel so…empty now that it’s over. What will I do next?
4. Was Hailey genuinely insane in the beginning of THOM or did she tap into her brother’s ability to make her mirror self come alive and able to speak with her?
Yes, Hailey was genuinely insane. She was just talking to herself in the mirror. She never has tapped into Jaron’s abilities before. I was planning to make her accidentally- oh well, I don’t think that would be wise tho.
5. If Tortuga exists, does it exist in the same place as the real Tortuga or somewhere else?
Tortuga exists somewhere else. It isn’t in the exact location as in “real life”

Sunnyfox, here are my questions.

5a. If Tortuga exists, does it exist in the same place as the real Tortuga or somewhere else?
5b. If Tortuga exists in the exact same location, does that mean most of if not all of ROTP series happens in and around the Gulf of Mexico and between the US, Mexico, Central America and northern part of South America?
I think that’s all of the ones my questions, I was gonna ask a couple more but Ben asked them in his so I feel these are the only questions I have at the moment. And I know as soon as you answer these I’ll have six more questions come back to me.

Sylveevee I liked Chapter 20! So Milos power is also transformation, did he take the same blood transfusion as Syl and Drake did? Maybe he took an even stronger one which has less flaws.. cant wait for what happens next!

Ben and PrimalApex, I’ll probably take a break for a few weeks to come up with a new idea for a story. I’m currently brainstorming and it hurts my brain(Seriously, I have a headache). I want to do a survivor story but at the same time….idk. I mean, I could do a survivor story of BEFORE the ROTP series, like about James’ great great great grandfather! 🤔. hmm…I may continue writing in the same universe or not. I have ZERO idea. If y’all have any ideas, y’all are welcome to throw them out there, tho. I’ll try to come up with new ideas while I’m on my break. Cya later!

Sunnyfox, Wow!!! Wow, I think that was one of the saddest yet bittersweet endings to a story I’ve read in a long time!!! So Marvelo was Arianna’s Father!!! I’ve been wondering that since the end of TDP when Emma brings up her name!!! Wait a second…
*goes back and reads a couple chapters of TTOTSP
how did I miss that!!! How did I miss that Arianna’s father’s name was Marvelo, the same name as Tom’s right hand man. Argh!!!🤦♂️(anyways). James’ death was really sad!!! And his last words were so sad!!!!😭 Cyrus died!!!!! I wasn’t expecting that he’d die too!!!! But that ending was very heartwarming and bittersweet!!! Epilogue was really good too!!! So Jack and Cyra decided to live in the Dark Phoenix Kingdom instead!!! Very sweet!!! It reminds me a lot of the end of the movie Mockingjay too!!! Guess that would be the perfect epilogue to a story with “The Hanging Tree” song as a main part of the story!!! It’s been a great story series you wrote and I loved it!!! Five books in five months. Gosh, you basically made an Ark version of the Skywalker Saga in less than half a year!!!! Congratulations on finishing it!!!! I know Ben asked you this, but what do you think you’re going to do now? Are you going to continue writing? Are you gonna write about the same universe or are you gonna write something else? I definitely think you deserve a break after the accomplishment you did!!!!! You did awesome Sunnyfox!!!! Well done and God Bless You Sunnyfox!!!!

Wow so many chapters have come out!
PrimalApex, Chapter 11 was really good! Poor Andrew who has no company except Reuben and the mysterious herbivore who we don’t know what species is yet. This was a very realistic take on the apocalypse genre, since most people go kinda crazy without human interaction for a while. What’s worse, being stuck on the ARKs, or being stuck down on the Earth with no one but yourself? Honestly I’d say the latter. At least the former there’s a chance at human interaction and making friends and allies. It’s something to keep yourself distracted from, even if death is apparent. Maybe that’s just a grim way of thinking.
Sylveevee, Chapter 18 was also really amazing! This fight between the Dragon and all the groups is really awesome! I’m glad Carnilius has decided to put the difference aside and work with the other to take down the Dragon boss. I wonder where it came from anyway, and where Milo and Pat found it. So I guess those two turned their backs on the rebel raiders now! Well I can’t wait for what happens next. Fox is also a really cool character, I can’t wait to see what his/her power is (i forgot if Fox is a boy or a girl). Chapter 19 was also awesome. I really liked the crazy beam coming out of Moonhigh and Sunhigh, that was great. So the Dragon has been defeated, but the final boss is the Overseer? I would have thought it was Rockwell, since we saw one of his tentacles once. Well, I liked it. I hope Skyocean gets some more screen time in the future though, since we haven’t seen much of him yet.
Also you are almost about to graduate to middle school, very impressive. I am sure you will get all A’s and B’s in your middle school, you can do it! And yes, I think The Phantom Legends sounds like a good name. But you choose a name that sounds the most fitting. What will it be about? Anyway, I’m also glad writing has helped you overcome some of your irl issues. I’m glad we are all friends here. Well enjoy the summer is to come, middle school will be a big change, and all of us give you our blessings to stay fortunate and strong to fight through the next school year!
Wyvernian, TOT Chapter 23 was very awesome! That encounter with the feral Rock Drakes was really cool and the engravings on the wall of all of their stories was awesome as well! It was really nice reading this chapter. I also really liked Chapter 53 of PoP. The Ferox Temple sounds like such a cool idea, it’s like a rehabilitation center. I like it just as much as the crazy barbarian Amargasaurus, I love some of the way the species in Pandora Chronicles are portrayed. I wonder who Frozt was talking about by the “boss”. Hopefully they make it out safe and sound.
Sunny, I can’t believe this is the end of the series already! Tom’s been turned back to the good side, but we lost a lot of people on the way. Seeing James die a second time was very heartbreaking, but it’d be selfish to keep him alive. After all, he was afraid to come back. I can’t believe Cyrus died too. Poor guy, he tried his hardest. Jack couldn’t even remember his name in time. But it was a really heartwarming ending, I really liked it. Five months in the making… goodness that’s fast. That’s a month per story. So, reflecting on the completion of the story, how do you feel? And what do you think you’re going to do next? Take a break? Keep working on a story set in the same universe but not really going to be a sequel or prequel? Write something else?

Thanks for the compliment wyvern the reason I started to write a story is because i love reading one day i thought while scrolling through dododex ‘i love reading would i be happy writing my own story’ i thought about it for a while one day it came to me that when i was scrolling through stories i decided to make stories on dododex because it looked like fun but really it helps me with some trust issues because i’ve been bullied a lot irl and on ark survival evolved on some servers on my switch but when I figured out that when i read it helps me calm down i tried to do a story and it helps me calm down as well but also when i write stories on here i feel like im getting some anger issues down as well but really i write QOA because it inspires me to get rid of trust issues if you read QOA sylveevee has some trust issues but in TOT she doesn’t has as many as in QOA.

Oh and the prologue for Clans was pretty cool, Moon!! Poor theri. And chapter one was pretty cool as well! Dusk was encouraging Finch even when she failed. Overall the prologue and chapter one was AWESOME!! It was fast and very thrilling! I can’t wait for the next chapter!!
