Strange but genuinely adorable, their cake diet, while it might seem daunting at first, is well worth it for the organic polymer and cementing paste they create passively in their inventory.

Just be sure to have tree sap taps, a 'lil veggie farm, and beehives up and running before taming and cakes will not longer an issue.

Also, be sure to tame higher lvl Achas, as they typically have better base health and food stats, and are therefore, easier to keep happy and healthy

Just put a wild one on your tree house it will not fall down

To tame these snails all you need a tranq dart supply and a long neck rifle, then knock it out and feed it sweet veggie cakes. Be careful of any hostiles in the area.

It takes longer to tame than the timer says because the cool down on the veggie cake is 30 sec and for that time it's like there is no food in it's inventory. It loses about 1% of progress each time it eats because of the cool down.

You can absolutely abuse this things, this things can be used to dupe Polymer...

Get the polymer out of this things, put it on a storage Unit you have, manually save the game, then enter the game again, then check this things inventory and it should be working finely... Only for mobile sadly...

Found mostly in marshes and jungles, Achatina limusegnis is a very slow, very non-threatening land mollusk. It might be the simplest creature on The Island to hunt, and while it only provides a small amount of meat and chitin, an easy meal is always of value on The Island. Unlike nearly every other creature on The Island, Achatina does not defecate normally. Instead it secretes a thick, sticky substance. Achatina leaves trails of this slime, but the trails are so thin that they crumble to dust quickly. Part 2 coming soon!

The tame is a pain especially in the first half of the game crafting veggie cakes aint no piece of cake. however this is worth it if you like big metal bases. As you will never run out of anchita paste. To maks things easier I suggest making a small base or treehouse near the redwoods. Get tree taps and some medium crops plots going and grit your teeth for honey. (If you're playing with S+ hands down you need to save 50x honey and make a beehive at your base.) Once your crops grow, the taps get sap, and you got some honey, you should have most all you need. Perks if you're playing with Automation mod you can set up a vacuum to pick up all the paste and another the S+ Item collector pulls the inventory of the snails.

I'm not sure about the multiplayer one, but in ark mobile Single mode, after collecting achtina paste and organic poly, Go to setting, click on 'leave ARK mobile' and when you're in the menu section...login again and hola! 100 cementing paste and 100 organic poly.

We had 5-6 and nobody fed them and they never starved to dead.

You mostly find them in caves, near mountains and also near swamp regions. They can’t really run away from you but taking them isn’t that easy either and might take a little more resources than you think at first but if you are far and rather prepared in the game this should be no problem. If you take them and put them on „wandering“ they will „snail“ around and slowly produce up to 100 Achatina Paste and 3-5 Organic Polymer if you leave them alone for a while. A simple short exploration is enough for these bad boys to generate a lot of Paste.
