Super hard to tame!
Takes cake
And is passive tame
A small, slow creature. Unrideable, with a mid to late game taming method. To tame, make a sweet vegetable cake in a cooking pot. Then go up to the snail while it is not being attacked or in it's shell and feed the snail the cake. Once tamed, Achatina will passively produce an alternative to cementing paste.
About it
The Achatina, aka the Shell Slug, is very used to swamps and warm-ish temperatures. It is pronounced "ak-a-TYN-a" and not "atch-a-TIN-a". In order to get it to produce its Cementing Paste, set it on wander for an ARK day and come back. It will have Cementing Paste in its inventory. If it does not, take it up with DodoRex. When trying to tame the Achatina, give it a Sweet Vegetable Cake. If numbers found in the information section of Achatina Taming are off by more than one, you should take it up with DodoRex. Otherwise, happy taming! If this was helpful, press the green arrow.
Don't listen to those saying you can carry snail BEFORE taming. It's a troll. I have been told this trick for months, yet I have only attempted one time. You can NOT carry anything you haven't tamed.
I can't vouch for carrying after knock, I haven't tried it yet. Just don't let others trick you. Prepping for taming this thing is as much of a headache as the actual work. Just make sure you have the area cleared, or bring some foundations and walls to box it in while taming. That is what I do.
Most useful tame, pain in the butt to tame and does literally nothing!
Great right?!
